He kept on running. If he even paused for a single moment, he would be crushed. The momentum had to continue. He turned around the street corner and continued to run. His heart was about to explode and his lungs were emptied out, unable to refill itself with oxygen. He ran past the city and into the beaches, and dared not to go into the sandy area, because that would slow him down.

He could feel his legs weakening, and his whole body aching, but he knew he had to continue. His life depended on this run. Actually, he really had no idea if he would make it through this time, he just ran.

He was at the docks by now. as he reached the end of the line, he had no where else to go. They were fast approaching. He looked at the water. Was it deep enough? No, probably not, but he had to jump.

And he did.
