Description

Modern MAMA!AU: In a world where superpowered individuals who fight crime are seen as entertainment with their actions broadcasted on live television, Sehun and Lu Han are superhero partners in crime-fighting, until, one day, during a mission, Sehun disappears. Presumed dead, Lu Han reluctantly accepts Sehun's death, but soon discovers Sehun is very much alive and has become the villain he must defeat.

this fic was requested by an anon on my askfm! it is not based on the edit above, but i think the image fits nicely with the plot. anyway, some elements (eg heroism as entertainment) are inspired by the anime tiger & bunny (but i've only watched a few of the episodes). also inspired by all the superhero movies of this century keke

Foreword

Lu Han walks into the cyclone, the winds never breaching the barrier he has created with his power of telekinesis. The eye of the storm is quiet, a distinct difference to the havoc occurring outside.

 

Sehun opens his eyes to regard him from where he levitates high above the ground. “You’ve come,” are the first words Sehun say.

 

Lu Han bites down on his fury, the taste of bitterness strange on his tongue. “What do you want with me?” Lu Han asks, trying not to scowl. “What will it take for you to stop?”

 

Sehun’s feet meet the ground. Walking towards Lu Han, his layers of white clothing drag through the dirt. He stops a metre before Lu Han.

 

Lu Han sees the desperation in Sehun’s eyes.

 

“Join me,” Sehun says, outstretching his hand. It is a demand, one that weighs heavily upon Lu Han. “Take my hand.”

 

Lu Han sees Sehun and knows he is not the same person he once knew.

Chapter 2: Sehun knows something crucial. Lu Han and the rest remain naive and clueless. I think Sehun becoming a super villain has a reason Minseok can comprehend with his knowledge about the experiments. This is getting interesting hohoho.
