[Graphics] Yes and No: Finding pictures
SECRET TutorialsYes and No
when it comes to a poster.
When it comes to doing a poster, there are some simple things that we need to remember, in order to do a good job.
The first and maybe most important one is to always use high quality pictures. Yes, we know that sometimes we can't find a decent HQ picture of the characters in our stories *coughKAIcough* but we always need to aim in getting the best pictures possible.
The same thing goes when we talk about renders/pngs as well. If you see the perfect render, but when you click on it, you see that it's for example 50x50...well, you have to let it go and look for another one. I know, it's painful, but sometimes we need to make sacrifices.
When it comes to me, Kate_Sunshine, I think that 75% of the work on a poster is in finding the best pictures. Sometimes this may take a whole day. Is it worth it after that? Most of the times no, you just have to go on another search.
there is a big difference between this:
and this:
Because this becomes this after resized:
See the difference? The first picture is perfect in size and quality while the second is only perfect in quality. The problem about the second is that when resized, the quality will also be lost. So if you ever want to do a poster, have some time on your mind that will be only for image searching. I would suggest google and tumblr when it comes to photo shoots (I will give links below) and Deviantart when it comes to renders and pngs.
Also, always click on the image before saving. Sometimes it may cost you a lot of nerves if you don't save in full size.
