Chapter 2

 

“Yunho Oppa!” A soft, lingering & dreamy voice called out his name, forever so melodiously & it was Yuri, still his wife. Yunho looked up & saw her beautiful feature, looking at him with a shock stricken look written across her oval-shaped face.

 

“Yuri?” He said. His voice was hoarse but not with passion but frustration as he knew that he’s facing a punishment that’s a million times more painful than death itself.

 

“Uh, hi.” He tried to carve on a smile, trying to hide his sorrow.

 

“Yeah, hi.” She smiled back, being slightly awkward towards him.

 

“Have you seen Yesung?” He asked.

 

“I’m here to see you & not Yesung.” She sighed.

 

“But why?”

 

“Well, Mr. Jung, this firm has somehow informed me that you are my lawyer for the agreement of divorce.” “You actually agreed?” Yunho asked, as he felt his heart being tear apart, just by hearing her words. Just great. He has to sign a warrant of death himself. It’s even more than a torture now.

 

“I’m tormented but I have no choice so, shall we?” She asked solemnly, causing him to dry off his tears by using his long fingertips secretly, not wanting Yuri to see his sorrow as he wants her to be free as she deserves someone better than him.

 

“Yes, we shall, your wish is my command, Miss Kwon.” He whispered sadly, almost choking on his own voice. Yuri looked at her lawyer intently & shed tears as well. She feels so hurt just by seeing him cry & she felt the same way as he felt. She realized that she loves him & agreeing to take him as her own lawyer is more than a torture as she only sees a husband in him & not a lawyer of hers. She felt like embracing him from behind & cry all that she wants. She wants to tell him how mad she is right at the moment. Mad because he’s acting nonchalant. She wants to hold onto him tightly & collapse into his embrace while telling him how much she still loves him.

 

“Miss Kwon, here, shall we begin?” Yunho asked. His arms brushed against hers when he was pulling the chair for her, making both of them feel like fainting at the sensational motion. She blushed & without looking at him, she nodded silently with grief.

 

“Have you thought over about this?” He asked, all of a sudden, looking deeply into her brown, almond-shaped eyes, hoping that there’s still a little love for him left.

 

“Excuse me?” She asked, giving him a deathly glare that makes him feel like praying for an earthquake to swallow him whole.

 

He avoided her dramatic eyes & gradually, he lean against the desk & gave her a smug smile. It hurts him to smile at her that way. It hurts him deeply, too deeply & he felt like bursting into a horrid phase of tears in front of her. He might look as calm & tranquil as an ocean at that particular moment but deep within, he feels like a volcano that might burst at any second now.

 

He looked at her deeply as if he had never looked at her before & of course, his gaze on her was obvious enough to draw her attention towards his act. She felt a little guilty for hurting him but serves him right since he’s the one who actually neglected her & his responsibility as a husband. It seems like she has went an eternity for him & it seems like it has been ages that they had smiled at each other & it seems like their recent kisses had already turned into a history & it’s already ancient.

 

Yuri frowned at the way he looked at her after a few moments. She has never seen her husband, correction, Jung Yunho; her current lawyer, ex-husband to be, give her such a look before. His gaze seems to be filled with sorrow & stuffed up with regrets. Yuri could actually read those but decided that she shouldn’t be a softie on him & allowed him to be forgiven by her for neglecting her.

 

“Have you thought about this over, Yuri?”

 

“Excuse me, Oppa? I mean, Jung, Mr. Jung, as far as I’m concern, you have no rights to question your client’s wish.” She said, getting teary eyed while she shot him an angry look.

 

“Yes, but still.”

 

“Still what?” She murmured, trembling slightly
