♔ Chapter 1 ♔

The dark was closing in quickly as I had every single window and blinds closed. Sighing to myself, I sat on the comfy couch. It was now eight o'clock and I was unsure of what to do. The mental debating of wanting to make dessert was astonishing as it took me away from reality for a moment.

 "Aunty Na Mi?" The child's voice questioned allowing myself to jump in place before getting up to kneel down in front of her. "Yes, Jenny?" I asked with a smile. Today was one of those days I had to babysit my six-year-old niece. She looked at me with a sour expression. There was something off about her. She hasn't been acting the same like she would usually do when she came to my home. 

There was something wrong. 

"Could you open the blinds?" She asked. My nose scrunched up as she pointed to the windows. "Why, honey? It's dark out." Jenny something about a friend of hers. I immediately assumed it was her imaginary friend whom she called her guardian angel and Joonmyun. "My friend and I want to see the moon." She answered. My nose scrunched some more. She never liked gazing at the moon. And there I knew something was completely off with her. 

Complying to her command, I got up and opened the blinds. 

"There," I say with a smile patting my hands on the side of my legs. "I'm going to go make dessert. What would you like for dessert?" I asked, bending down in front of her. She shook her head as I sighed. I'll think of something to make.
