MoonlightAuthor's POV
Chanyeol barely laid his head down on his pillow when his cellphone began to vibrate. He had no energy left to pick it up and decided to ignore. Yet there was this voice inside his head telling him to pick it up and so he did. His desire to go to sleep went away after reading who the missed caller was --- his Dara. He knew well he should go to sleep because of the hectic schedule he had the next day, but there was a disturbance in his heart. She wouldn't call at this time for no reason. He tried to contact her back with no success. He sat back up and sighed knowing where he had to go. He slowly crept out of his home to meet her.
There she was again, in the same spot he would always find her when she had something to sulk about. The night was young and so before approaching her, the tall, slim, young man carefully observed the petite, goddess like woman he was enamoured with. Even from the distance, he could tell she had been crying for hours. Despite still looking breathtakingly beautiful, there was a hint of exhaustion in the way she was sitting near the swimming pool. He took a last and loud "breathe in, breathe out" routine before finally walking towards her.
He decided to sit inches away from her knowing she was uncomfortable being close to people when sulking. The gorgeous woman was too dazed to notice his presence. Chanyeol starts to hum to EXO-K's Moonlight to gain her attention.
"Chanyeol, you're here," she sounded like there was no life left in her
"You called, I had to be," he scooted a little closer to her
"How'd you know I'd be here?" she was finally looking at him and not staring off into the pool
"Of course I would know. What are best friends for?" he answered trying to cover up what he really wanted to say
Of course I would know. I know everything about you, from the way you sleep at night to the exact way you want your ramyun cooked. Every single detail, Dara, I know and it's driving me to madness on how much I do.
"You should be at home, sleeping, resting," she told him
"How could I when you made me worried? What's wrong?" I already have an idea on what happened but I want to be wrong, please let me be wrong.
She let out a sigh, a breather. There was a moment of silence before she spoke up. She was trying to find the words to explain to him her situation.
"Chanyeol---"
Before she could continue, it was her cellphone that went off. It was Butterfly by the famous Kwon Jiyong. Chanyeol slightly jolted upon hearing the ringtone. It was happening again, Chanyeol knew it from the start. When will there ever be a change in their situation? Dara looked at Chanyeol as if asking for permission if she could answer her phone. Chanyeol nodded as a sign of approval, but his eyes told a different story. He didn't want her to answer it. There was in no way Chanyeol ever wanted Dara to speak to Kwon Jiyong. But she loved that sly, crooked boy. Dara stood up to have a private conversat
