"Get up, sleepy head. It's the first day of school. You wouldn't want to be late, would you?" I squinted as I rubbed my sleepy eyes, trying to get a glimpse of what was ahead of me. I stifled a yawn before sitting up, accidentally bumping into my older brother's forehead.

"Owwww.... That hurts!" I shouted as I rubbed my now swollen forehead. I shot Kai a glare. He narrowed his eyes at me and shouted, "You're saying it as if it didn't hurt to me. Pfft. You should be thankful that I even came into your room to wake you up before you're late!" He pointed his finger at the clock on my beside table. I looked at the clock and my eyes widened in horror. It was 7.30am! 30 minutes before school starts! "Aishh! Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" I scolded him as I jumped right out of bed, which I regretted instantly because the next thing I knew, I was on the floor with my aching body. "Puhahahahahaha! Serves you right. It's karma, 'lil sis." He sent a reply almost immediately, before doubling over to continue laughing at my misfortune. "Arghhhhhhh... Just GET OUT!" I got up despite the pain and rushed to get ready.

Thankfully for me, I have a crazy race car driver who can drive me to school in like, 5 minutes. That's the perks of living 10 minutes away from school and of having an awesome driver. "Bye ahjussi! See you later!" I got out of the car with my annoying brother and quickly rushed to class. I almost went the wrong way if he had not pulled my bag and directed me to the right way. When we entered the hallway, it was still filled with people. Why? Because we still had 10 minutes before class started. Phew. And I thought I was late. I went towards my locker to find two girls leaning against it, talking away. 

"Ahem." I cleared my throat and the girls turned around in astonishment. "Sunmi! Where were you? Don't you usually come to school 20 minutes early?" Eunbyul, one of my best friends, demanded an answer from me. I just scratched my nape. "Uhhhhhh... About that... I woke up late. Hehehe." "Well, that's okay. At least you're here now. Come on, grab your books and we shall go look for my brother and his friends." At that, Seohyun widened her eyes and spoke up for the first time. "What?! We're going to see......your brother? Goshh. How do I look? Should I apply some makeup?" "Relax Hyunnie, you look fine. In fact, you look really pretty!" I eyed her outfit, which suited her really well because of her skin complexion. "Yea, don't worry about it. At least you look better than her." Eunbyul blurted, which made Seohyun giggle. "Heyyyyyyy... What's wrong with my outfit?" I whined, which was really rare, only some people have heard me done that before. "Nothing." Eunbyul replied before laughing away. Aishh, this girl.

Suddenly, I felt an arm around my shoulder weighing me down as Seohyun lets out a nearly inaudible gasp. I looked up to see a giant towering over me. "What's wrong, Sunmi? Why that sad face?" He looked over at me and flashed his signature smile. Looking over at Seohyun, I brushed his hand aside and moved away. I don't want her to get jealous or anything. I just shrugged, and put on my signature look, a poker face. That was when the rest of EXO came and surrounded us. Gasps could be heard all along the hallways as girls looked at us with jealousy and frustration. I ignored them and focused on Baekhyun, who was about to speak. 

"Guys guys, let's meet up for lunch later alright? I heard today's lunch will be FRIED CHICKEN!" He did a small victory dance and I could instantly see girls drooling and swooning over his cuteness. "YAY FRIED CHICKEN!" Kai and Tao punched their fists up in the air. The rest of us just looked at them and let out a small laugh. What is up with these guys and fried chicken? They seem to be obsessed. I wonder if- The school bell rung to signify the start of the first period and interrupted my thoughts. All of us dispersed to head to our respective classes. Just as I was about to leave, I felt a tug on my pullover. I turned around, ready to kick anyone who had thoughts of possibly kidnapping me. 

"Hey, I just wanted to say... You look really beautiful today. I'll see you at lunch. Bye." 

I never knew how one sentence like that, could make my heart flutter and make me smile for the rest of the day.
