Foreword

"Tell me your last wish, child."

Vengeance. The word resonated in my head as I stared at my own dead, lifeless body that was now in the holy hands of the sacred. "My wish... is to find the person who killed me"

"Such a pitiful child," the Head Angel's soothing voice reached out to me and interrupted my thoughts. She looked sorry for me as she caressed my corpse. The others were just lifeless dead souls dressed in white; will I become one of them?

"You can stay here in peace for eternity instead. There won't be any more worries and regrets. Come here, Mirae." She laid my head down on her lap that was blanketed with white silk while my hair and hummed an angelic melody.

I looked around and spotted my tattered body lying in a boat on the ocean sea. filled with what looked like millions of roses. I looked so frail, so fragile. This wasn't supposed to happen. I wasn't supposed to die. I can't die.

               "No. I can't die like this...I can't die yet."

"Have you not heard that the act of being reborn is a sin? You cannot live again without the exchange of another soul. Life is balance. We cannot change that, child. What will you give us?" she sighed as she pitied me.

"That man's soul. I will give that in exchange for another life."

"And if not?" questioned the Angel.

"I'll go to hell as a sinner for being reborn."

"Your memories will be erased as you reborn. Mirae, choose wisely." She laid my body's head on her lap.

"Then I'll just have to remember. I have to."

"Then the contract will begin. As you wish, you will be reborn to your old self, but with the ability to see things which others cannot in exchange for your memory. We cannot change fate, child. You cannot run from it either. You have to fight it because in the end, one will be perished for the other one to live. Farewell."

And so my new life of vengeance awaits.
