“Where is the King?” Queen Hyojin asked impatiently. The maid was shaken a bit as she saw the Queen in her anger state again. Even more…, she was sure that the Queen would be more angered when she heard her answer

“Why don’t you answer me??!!!Where is the King???!!!” The queen shouted

“H-His Ma-j-jesty is…. i-in t-the Lad-dy Chaerin’s r-room, My Q-qu-een….” The maid startled. Her body was shaking in fear

And like the maid’s prediction…, the Queen was almost turned into a dragon as she heard ‘Lady Chaerin’ name

“WHAT?!!!” Hyojin shouted in rage. She was beyond angry to know that her husband was with his mistress…, again

She rushed hurriedly, half run to Chaerin’s room. But when she arrived there, the guards stopped her

“What are you doing?!” She shouted. Her blood was boiled and ready to erupted

“I apologize, Your Majesty… The King ordered to not let anyone enter this chamber” the guard bowed, informed the fuming queen

“But I AM THE QUEEN!!!” Hyojin lost her patience, screamed to the guards

“But the King didn’t give any exception, Your Majesty” The other guard said and bowed his head.

Queen Hyojin was so mad and she knew, she wouldn’t be able to barge in. so the raging Queen just left without another words

Meanwhile, inside the chamber, the royal mistress was lying in her large bed, with the King and young Prince Yongie sat beside her

“Omma… get well soon…” Yongie said sadly. He hated to see his Omma in that condition

“Omma is fine, Baby… don’t worry…” Chaerin smiled and brushed Yongie’s hair lovingly

“But you’re sick, Omma…. I hate to see Omma being sick….”Yongie’s voice was a little trembled. King Jiyong smiled and pulled Yongie’s body, sat him in his lap

“Omma will be healed soon, Yongie. The royal physicians will make some medicines for Omma….” He kissed Yongie’s head

“Really, Appa? Will they really cure Omma soon?”  Yongie looked up to asked his father and the king nidded

“Sure. Now go to the southern field. Uncle Youngbae will teach you riding” Jiyong reassured his stubborn son

“I love riding…, but Appa… I want to be with Omma…” Little Yongie pouted. Chaerin smiled along with the King

“Appa is here, though… I’ll take care of Omma” Jiyong said and winked to his still pouting son

“Promise me, Appa” Yongie stood up and gave his serious face to his Appa

“Huh? What?” the King frowned

“Promise me that Appa will never leave Omma until I’m finish with my riding class. Or I won’t go for I need to take care and accompany Omma” Yongie said and the King laughed amusedly

“Aigoo…. My young Prince is really knows how to make a deal…” He shook his head, still smiling wide.

“How, Appa? Do you agree?” Yongie asked again. Chaerin chuckled silently watching her son’s cute action. So did the maids who were there….

“Alright… I promise” The king finally agreed

“Ok. Noonas and ahjumas… you are the witnesses of Appa…, uhm, I mean The King’s words, Ok?” Yongie asked the maids

The maids looked at the King and he nodded lightly, gave his permission

“Y-ye, your highness…” The maids answered

“Fine. Then I’ll go first, Your Majesty. Please keep your promise” The little Prince said and bowed formally to his still smiling Appa

“Sure. Now go and study well, Prince Yong” Jiyong answered with his ‘King style’

Yongie bowed and turned to see his Omma. “See you later, Omma…” He waved his hand and left with the guards

The King laughed again at his son’s cuteness

“He will be a great leader when he grow up” The King said, smiling to the lady

“He is your Son. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, right?” Chaerin smiled back to his husband

The maids and guards who were there smiled as they witnessed their sweet interaction. But the King and his wife seemed to be oblivious

“Thanks to you…, you raised him very well”Jiyong bent down and kissed Chaerin’s forehead. But Chaerin pulled back, made Jiyong frowned. The lady then gave him an eye signal, remind him that the maids and guards were still there

King Jiyong cleared his throat awkwardly and turned to the maids, told them to leave

As the maids and guards leaved them alone, the King laid himself beside his beloved wife

“Oppa, what are you…”

“Ssh…. I promise our son that I’ll be with you, remember?” He said as he pulled Chaerin’s body into his embrace

“But… don’t you have to go?” Chaerin asked carefully

“Nah. I’m not so busy today” Jiyong held her tight, rested Chaerin’s head on his chest. “Beside that.., you’re not well. I have to take care of you” He added

“I’m ok, Oppa…” Chaerin smiled

“No, you’re not!” Jiyong cut her midsentence. “You have to take a rest. I’ll be waiting here until the physicians come and inspect what’s wrong with you” He insisted

Chaerin just smiled. She knew how stubborn her husband could be. And that trait obviously inherited by their son

“Now take some rest. I’ll be here with you” Jiyong tightened his arms around his wife’s body

Suddenly, someone knocked the door

“Who is that?” The King asked loudly

“Your Majesty…” Mino answered from outside

“Come in” The king said and got out from the bed, along with Chaerin. Then Mino walked in. “What happen, Mino?” He asked

“Your majesty…” Mino voiced. “Queen Hyojin is now scolding Prince Yongjae” He informed. Jiyong and Chaerin was so surprised by the information

“What? How come?” The King asked in high tone. Chaerin became so worry for she knew The Queen never liked his Son

“Prince Joon fell from his horse when he compete in a race with Prince Yongjae, Your majesty” Mino informed more

“Then why does she scold Yongie?” Chaerin asked panicky

“Let’s go there” Jiyong said and they walked to the field. There, they saw the Queen was so mad, scolded Yongie with no mercy. Youngbae tried to calmed her but the queen was too mad and screamed at him instead

“Don’t you ever try to defend this boy!!” Queen Hyojin angrily shouted to Youngbae. “You shouldn’t let them racing! Look what happened to the Crown prince now!”

“I apologize, Your Majesty. But…”
