Seohyun and her family are moving in to a new neighborhood in Daejeon, because her father was offered a new job as a manager, they were previously from Gwangju. Seohyun is currently 12 years old and she is a very quiet and intelligent child. In her previous school Seohyun was always bullied by her classmates because she was a nerd, and because of that she didn't had any friends which made her lonely as she would always spend her time in the library reading books every day because no one wanted to talk to her. Sometimes she would cry her nights to sleep thinking why people are always being mean to her and treating her that way. Then one day her father told her that they will start a new life in a different area, Seohyun was relieved as she will have the chance to meet new friends and not be lonely anymore.

"Were here" Mr. Seo announced happily

Seohyun was glad to be far away from her previous home because now she is free and no one will bully her anymore.

"Seohyunnie it's time to start a new life" said Mrs. Seo while holding onto her daughter's shoulders from behind looking up at their new two story house

"de umma" Seohyun replied smiling happily

"Oh yah yeobu I think we have a new neighbor" Mr. Lu said while looking out the window

"Oh Kure seems like it, we should go welcome them to the neighborhood" Mrs. Lu replied happily while frying some eggs in the kitchen

"Yah Luhannie come down here and look I think we have a new neighbor" Mrs. Lu called out for his son who was in his room upstairs

"I know umma I can see them from my window” Luhan replied with a sleepy voice

Luhan just woke up and it was because of the noise he heard from the new neighbor moving in their items in their new house next door. Luhan had been waking up late because he was on summer break but school is going to start in one week.

“Luhannie come down here and eat your breakfast” her umma called out from the kitchen.

“araso umma” Luhan replied from his room upstairs

Luhan came down and the 3 of them started to eat their breakfast

“What do you guys think we can bring to our new neighbor to welcome them?” Mrs. Lu asked

“Let’s just give them a fruit basket, I’ll buy one on my way home from work” Mr. Lu replied while munching on his scrambled egg

The NEXT DAY

It was 10 o’clock in the morning and Luhan was still lying down on his bed sleeping. Her mother then entered his room and opened up his window to wake him up. Then she noticed a girl across his window organizing her things diligently.

“Yah Luhannie look, I think our new neighbor has a daughter your age” Mrs. Lu said while smiling brightly… She had always wanted to have a daughter but she was never granted any more children after she gave birth to Luhan.

Upon hearing what her mother said Luhan quickly jumped up from his bed and took a peak at his window where he noticed a girl fixing her bed and arranging some books on a shelf.

“Okay now, hurry up and get ready were going to come over and welcome them to the neighborhood” Mrs. Lu said while fixing his son’s bed

“Do I have to come umma?” Luhan replied lazily

“Of course you do, can’t you see they have a daughter, she might need a friend once school starts”

“She might not even be my age umma” Luhan replied and lay on his bed again

“That’s why we need to come over and find out” Mrs. Lu said and and patted his then walked out the door. “Now get up and get ready we’re coming over in 10 minutes.”

*ding-dong* (doorbell)

The Lu family is now in front of the Seo’s house and Luhan was on his phone while waiting for someone to open the door

Mr & Mrs. Seo then opened the door and greeted them, “Hello?”

“Hello, were the Lu family we live next door and we just came by to welcome you guys” Mrs. Lu said sweetly

“Oh, were the Seo family and please come in” Mrs. Seo replied and let them in the house
