1996 (Minho-5, Taemin-3)

Minho was five when he first met Taemin, his new neighbor. The Lee family had moved from Seoul to Incheon because of their jobs. Days after the family moved in, the next door family, the Chois, came over to welcome the newest additions to the neighborhood, bringing their son, Minho, with them.

“Hi! I’m Minho!” the large-eyed boy greeted, bowing and smiling boradly. Little Taemin hid behind his mother as he barely whispered,

“I’m Taemin.”

The adults chuckled at the younger’s shyness, and Mr. Choi leaned down to his own son’s level and suggested,

“Why don’t you two go and play?”

Minho nodded excitedly.

“Can I see your room?” he asked Taemin, who merely nodded, still unsure of the charismatic new boy.
