Depressions exist deep within a human’s soul. Some managed to control it but the unlucky ones get drowned in it. Bae Hyunae stayed by the window and watched the lines of cars outside and wondered where they were headed to. A sigh came out from as she hugged her knees to her chest, feeling cold even though she had her cardigan wrapped around her body.

                She turned her gaze away from the scenery outside the window and reality seemed to be playing tricks on her as she was faced with a familiar-looking white room. The messy hospital bed which she had just gotten out of was located a few metres away from her. A memory flashed into her mind and she sat on the cold floor with her back leaning against the wall.

                Jung Hoseok walked around the hospital while mumbling a room number repeatedly. “The room is down there,” the nurse pointed to a direction when Hoseok had taken the time to ask for directions. “Keep on going to the left and then you’ll see the room,” the nurse stated as Hoseok bowed before dashing off towards the direction.

                Soon enough, the room he had been searching for emerged before him as he pushed the door opened. Looking around the place, Hoseok creased his forehead in confusion since he was unable to see the person he was searching for. “Hyunae?” he called out.

                Hyunae’s head snapped to the right when she heard a familiar voice calling her name. “Jung Hoseok?” she was shocked to see the male but kept her face composed.

                “What happened to you?” Hoseok decided to crouch down so that he was at the same eye-level as Hyunae. “I heard you cut yourself,” he whispered and as if on cue, his eyes caught the fresh scar on Hyunae’s wrist. “Why did you do it?” Hoseok’s lips trembled.

                “I had no choice,” she looked away.

                Hoseok sighed and lowered his head for a moment. Hyunae was an old friend of his as they met even before he moved to Seoul. Hyunae had always been the quiet one in school but she was also the top student. Her parents and teachers had burdened her with high expectation that it had caused her to suffer a minor depression a few years ago.

                However, when Hyunae had been accepted into Seoul National University, the stress took over her. She did nothing but study as she had even used drugs once to keep her away from sleeping. The stress to do well was too overwhelming as she just broke down one day and was kicked out of the university for her own good.

                “There’s always a choice Hyunae-ah,” Hoseok touched her shoulder as he could feel her flinched under his touch.

                Hyuna looked up and stared into Hoseok’s eyes. How could he be so optimistic?

                “Let me help you,” Hoseok said.

                “Why did you even come here?” she asked.

                “Remember a year ago when we met on the streets?” Hoseok smiled as he reminisced the time, “You helped me out a lot at that time. I was stressed from all the training but you took me in that night and let me sleep over at your house. You didn’t hesitate to help me at all and listened to my problem.”

                Hyunae frowned, “That’s all?”

                “No,” Hoseok shook his head, “You made me feel at ease and gave me hope. You comforted me, Hyunae-ah,” he said more and took Hyunae’s hand. His finger lightly trailed on the bandage around her wrist. “This time, let me comfort you. I’ll heal you.”

                “Hoseok,” her voice came out weak.

                Knowing that Hyunae would probably have doubts, Hoseok quickly added in, “Just one day. I’ll make sure that you’ll be able to smile again.”

                Hoseok’s words struck Hyunae as tears started forming in her eyes. “Why are you doing this?” she croaked.

                “Because I’m your hope,” Hoseok winked playfully, wanting to clear the tension away. Hyunae tucked a wild strand of hair behind her ears as she continued on staring at Hoseok’s smiling face. Maybe the world was not so bad. Maybe she still had some hope in her life. curved slightly as it almost looked as if she was smiling.

Hello people^_^ I am back with another chapter and this time it's Hobi!!!!! Hihi... Since he's the optimistic horse in the group, I made him like a Sun in Hyunae's bleak life. I dunno but I can see J-hope acting like this. He's so optimistic and all, I can't resist to make this drabble like this. I hope it won't be too boring or anything=/
