You Knew All Along?

Did You Forget Me?

For the rest of the week Ah Jung refused to talk to Taeyang. Or should I say, Youngbae. The reason(s) why: she was mad at him for who knows what reason, and embarrassed as hell for all the things she did. But overall she was happy, happy that she finally got to meet her long awaited crush again.

"Talk to me Ah Jung! Im dying or boredom!" Taeyang had just gotten to the room ten minutes ago and he was already complaining. Ah Jung stood her ground, however. "Look Ah Jung, I'm sorry I didn't tell you from the beginning. I just thought that maybe it'd be better if it stayed that way."

From the beginning? Stayed that way? "Wait, so you're saying that you knew who I was all along?"

Oh ! Taeyang gulped a wad of saliva that was forming in his throat. "Well," he scratched the back of his head, "something like that..."

Ah Jung dropped her pencil. She avoided eye contact with Taeyang at all cost, afraid that he might see the disappointment and pain hidden in her eyes. "Why?" She said barely above a whisper.

"What?"

"Why would you do that? Just... Why?"

"Ah Jung, I-"

"I waited for you to come back. I waited for you to fulfill your promise to me Youngbae." Ah Jung's voice cracked as she remembered Youngbae's exact words to her: "'I promise you that I'll come back for you and marry you.' What happened to that?"

Taeyangno, Youngbaefelt a shiver run up his spine. "You still remembered that? Why would you?" In truth, Youngbae was biting back a smile. He didn't know whether he should be happy or shocked with happiness.

Ah Jung couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Because it was you, oppa." Her lips quivered. "I believed in you with all my heart. I trusted that one day you'll come back and fulfill your promise to me." Ah Jung smiled bitterly as teeard stung her eyes. "But I guess promises were really meant to be broken."

Youngbae sighed dramtically, but all the while smiling. "Look, Ah Jung, I didn't br-"

"Please stop. I don't think I want to hear anymore." Ah Jung picked up her pencil and began working quietly all the while still blinking back the tears that were on the verge of trickling down her cheeks. But it proved to be harder than she thought.

Like a drop of rain that pelts against the window at the beginning of a storm, a single tear rolled down Ah Jung's cheek and met with the design she was sketching. One tear turned to another and another into two. Soon, a waterfall was escaping her eyes.

Youngbae, not being able to ignore a crying Ah Jung, despite feeling happy, decided to take matters into his own hands. He sat down right next to her and tried getting her attention but she refused to look at him.

"Ah Jung, please look at me." Ah Jung's stubbornness eventually got to Youngbae. He gently yet forcefully grabbed her shoulder so that she was finally facing him and pressed his lips against hers.

Ah Jung was stunned. The tears that had refused to stop falling suddenly stopped as time seemed to stop as well. Youngbae smiled lovingly at Ah Jung when he pulled away from her. His tender hands reached up to wipe away the remaining tears.

“You still cry over the littlest things. And still never listen to what I have to say first.” Ah Jung pouted, causing Youngbae to chuckle. “Are you going to listen to me now?” Ah Jung nodded. “I admit that I did forget our promise, but I never forgot you. Not for a day did I forget you."

“Liar."

Youngbae sighed. “Fine. I admit that I did forget about you sometimes because there were too many things happening and occupying my mind. But that doesn’t mean that I never thought of you. And thanks to fate, we meet again; in circumstances that I would have preferred we didn’t meet in but regardless we still met."

Ah Jung slightly smiled. “I really hate you, you know that."

Youngbae kissed her forehead lovingly. “I know you do. But I love you.” Youngbae stared at Ah Jung. “Hey, had being my girlfriend ever cross your mind?"

Ah Jung narrowed her eyes at Youngbae. “What are you trying to get at?"

“Hmm… Nothing much. Other than I want you to be my girlfriend."

“Are you kidding me?” Ah Jung asked incredulously. “Your fans will kill me!"

Youngbae grabbed Ah Jung’s hands and squeezed them reassuringly. “I love my fans, and I can live if all of them left me because I chose to love you. But I don’t think I can live if you’re not in my life."

Ah Jung sat there stunned. But what she did next defied what she was actually feeling. She stood up and flicked Youngbae’s forehead.

“Yah! What was that for?"

“I suddenly felt like doing that,” she said while walking away.

“Hey, you never answered my question,” he said as he reached out to grab her wrist, preventing her from escaping.

“I’ll let that be up to you,” she said, trying to hold back a smile.

Youngbae caught the little smile that she tried to hide and couldn’t help but wrap his arms around her, surprising her a little. “It’s official then. Kang Ah Jung is officially Dong Youngbae’s girlfriend."

AYO~!! This chapter is crap. I had it all planned out but then I lost it, so what I have here is a cheap replica of the original. Also, I see about 3-4 more updates left for this fanfic partly because I feel discouraged to writing about Youngbae oppa because he’s dating Min Hyorin.
But please SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT, and UPVOTE.
**(Especially comments since I want to hear what everyone thinks of my writing and the storyline overall.)
