Foreword

Flash forward:

For the first time in two years, Luhan walked through the familiar streets of Seoul. It was half into autumn and the trees were already losing their leaves. Luhan walked down the road. He could smell the familiar scent of the coffee shop close by his old house, causing memories to return. Memories of the past... Memories of moments which will not come back for a very long time, called forever. Those which they will never take away. Not like they did with Sehun.

His eyes started to get wet as he passed a bench where he and Sehun once spend a whole afternoon.. Just because Luhan forgot his keys at home. Sehun could have left back then.. But he didn't.

"I'm going to stay here, if you like it or not." Sehun said.

Luhan slightly smiled watching the scene of two kids playing around a few metres away from him. He missed those days. Those days when it didn't matter what you did.

When he and Sehun could be together.

Luhan would never blame Sehun for leaving. It wasn't his fault. He didn't want to. He was forced. He knew there was no way he and Sehun could be together. Even if Sehun would still be here. It wasn't fair, but he knew life isn't always as fair as it should be.

Up until now Luhan tried to give it a place. And somewhere he did. But Sehun will always be a part of his life, even though they are not in touch anymore.

'How are you doing, Sehun?' 'Have you been healthy?' 'How is life?' Luhan still asked these questions every day, even though Sehun will never hear them nor answer them.

Luhan walked hesitatingly to the bench, their bench and slowly lowered himself onto the cold wood. He took a deep breath. The first healthy air he inhaled in those two years. He wondered what Sehun would be like. Would he have changed? Would he be happy again?

Even though seasons past and time flew by, it still felt like yesterday. At the same time those years felt like ages. One second Luhan could swear he could smell Sehun's scent. But once again, it was only his imagination.

Luhan knew so well he would never see his lover again.. But deep inside he had this hope. That same hope which kept him believing that things would change soon.
