Taehyung opened his eyes to see Jungkook and Hoseok sitting by his side with their face burried in the blankets that were covering Taehyung. He looked around, realizing that he's on the hospital bed

"Awake?" Taehyung turned his head to his left and saw JunSeo reading a book, leaning against the wall. Taehyung hummed as a response

"How's Jimin?" Junseo smiled softly at the younger

"Always worried about Jimin more than yourself. Guess you didn't change. He's in the room next door," 

"Is he awake?" Taehyung asked, the last thing he remembered was the sight of Jimin's heart rate dropping. Junseo pursed his lips

"Not sure, been here to watch over you for an hour or so. The doctors said he's okay, you can go check up on him if you want," JunSeo suggested. Without hesitation Taehyung crawled out of bed quietly, not wanting to wake his friends up. He expected JunSeo to follow him but the elder just shook his head and told him that he wanted to get some sleep before heading off to work. Taehyung opened the door of Jimin's room and made his way to the chair by the bed. 

"Jimin," Taehyung said, Jimin was still unconcious but his heart rate was more stable compared to before. Taehyung sighed before taking the boy's hand into his own and placing it by his cheek. 

"I missed you, Jimin," Taehyung's voice was soft, barely a whisper. Looking at Jimin, the memories of their childhood came back, the childhood that Taehyung thought he had forgot.

"I'm so sorry for not recongizing you," he smiled and caressed his hand by Jimin's cheek. It still hurt him when he remembered what JunSeo had told him about their parents but Taehyung didn't blame the male. It wasn't their fault, it was their parents. They've gone through alot for the past years, Taehyung thought. Even after all that they've gone through, Jimin still came back to him. Jimin came back to Taehyung despite knowing the risks of them being together again. Jimin came back and tried to hard to be close to Taehyung eventhough the later didn't recongize him. And the thought of Jimin blaming himself over Taehyung's kidnapping and the intruder in their house 8 years ago was breaking his heart. Taehyung closed his eyes and tears flowed down his cheeks

"Look at what we have here," a voice echoes through the room, a voice all too familiar to Taehyung. He turns around a met eyes with a person he thought he would never have seen again

"So Jimin was alive. And of course, you're with him," the man who's voice sent shivers down Taehyung's spine. It was the same man who had shot Jimin 8 years ago and kidnapped them

"What are you doing here?" Taehyung asked, the man smirked, taking out a gun from his back pocket, aiming it to Jimin

"That kid burned the people who were suppose to pay me after kidnapping the both of you," he said, Taehyung blocking the man's view of Jimin who was unaware of what was going on

"That was 8 years ago, it shouldn't matter now," Taehyung hissed, he really thought he got the man out of his life for good

"Oh but you see it does. They said they'd pay me 50K for kidnapping you and 10K for breaking into your house, 20K if I killed you,"

"Which you didn't, I'm still alive," Taehyung fought back. He knew his actions weren't rational in the current situation but it didn't matter to him. The guy infront of him was insane and a maniac, Taehyung needed to protect Jimin just like how Jimin protected him. The man rolled his eyes

"That's why I'm here. To get the job done, the 20K is with some agent that kid's parents assigned to and he said I won't get the 20K till you're dead. Didn't really see the point of killing you when Jimin was supposedly dead for the past 8 years, so the deal was off. But then, surprisingly Jimin came back and the deal was back on. I followed you guys around since he transfered by the way. You two looked so cute it was sickening," The man growled, making Taehyung twich in fear

"So this how it ends," Taehyung closed his eyes as the sound of the gun trigger being shot
