It was raining heavily in Seoul, and I just wondered what kind of beasts lurked in the darkness of those empty alleyways. The streets were full of cars, honking and blaring their lights at each other. They must be trying to get home, to their families and take a rest. I was seated on the stairs outside my house, getting shelter under my roof to protect me from the cold rain. I leaned against the cold cement pillar and pulled my legs up to hug them. 

Today was the worst day of my life.

The day that my girlfriend told me she had to move away to somewhere in London. She broke my heart with that nasty lie. My name is Xi Luhan and I was a patient in the Immortal Children's Program; a program for children who aged very slowly. After 10 years, I would age a year. My girlfriend found out about it, and obviously tried to make a run for it. She didn't want someone younger than her. I've always hated myself. Being unable to age normally had many advantages, don't get me wrong. However, I've always been unable to fall in love. Because in the end, I knew that she would die earlier than me. 

Suddenly, I heard a loud cry from the alley I had been telling myself to avoid. It sounded like a kid. No, a baby. I jumped on my feet and was surprised that I was actually running towards the sound. Crossing the road recklessly, I made it on the other side alive. But I didn't stop yet. No, I still ran into the dark alleyway. Passing by the walls that were covered in moss and mold, I made way through like there was a monster chasing me.

I pushed more energy into my feet when I noticed the cries and sobs were getting louder. And that was it:

I forced stop on my feet, but in the end slipped due to the lack of friction in the slippery ground. I fell on my , causing it to ache. "Ouch" I mumbled as I rubbed it softly. Suddenly, the cries stopped. And it turned into laughter.

I looked up ahead and found a small box, covered in holes and mold. Inside it was a beautiful baby girl, giggling softly. She had brown short hair, and dark brown eyes as well. Her tan skin was glowing in the single lamp post that had lit up so suddenly. She was soaking wet, as was I. But I knew, this day was now the happiest day of my life. I had found my new miracle.
