Cinq (épilogue)

The Star That Fell

Taeyeon sat in the comfortable leather seat of her i8. The interior of the car had changed quite drastically over the past two years. Where the back seats used to be covered with a pink furry blanket, they had now returned to their original, grandiose state, the luxurious leather gleaming in the sun’s rays. Her tinted windows were rolled down as the summer breeze blew her hair back, her sunglasses shading her eyes from the bright sunlight.

She had been on the fast track to recovery, since that wretched day a couple of years ago. Having left their shared house, Taeyeon took only what she needed the most before moving permanently into Sunny’s apartment.

And for the years since, she had been living with her equally short companion. Her days were never dull, what with the amount of visitors Sunny got at her modest apartment.

One day, it’d be Sunny’s sisters visiting, to leave their sons with Sunny whilst they went out on dates with their husbands. Other days, other friends would visit, celebrity friends that Sunny had made after their disbandment during the numerous variety shows she had hosted. Sometimes, it would be her parents, or even the other members. All of them came as they pleased, and it would seem that Sunny never minded.

Taeyeon was put on babysitting duty as soon as Sunny deemed fit, which was basically the very week Taeyeon got out of her ‘depressive’ state. Sunny definitely could use a hand when it came to watching over her two active nephews.

But Taeyeon never minded. The two boys may have been a handful, but they were genuinely fun to be with, and they took the problems off Taeyeon’s mind.

Sunny had also taken to having long talks with her danshin buddy at night, occasionally with a drink in hand. And it wasn’t too long before Taeyeon was almost back to her regular self.

Taeyeon herself was quite happy with things at the moment. She wasn’t looking for a relationship. She didn’t think she was at that stage yet, but she was moving on quite nicely, if she could say so herself.

-------------------------------------------------

It was very quick. The entire incident lasted only a few seconds. She was driving straight, the traffic light had just turned green, when suddenly, from the side, a huge truck came speeding down the perpendicular lane.

Taeyeon didn’t even have time to think or react.

Just a loud bang, and then everything went black.

Chapter 7: Why do you need to make two kind of ending? I mean it's so obvious that you prefer the first ending..
I think it's better for this story to have just one ending, even it's too angsty :)

Chapter 7: Attractive title and foreword. I feel that the story is too rushed to be able to really feel the angst. Like the events and the years change way too fast. That's just my 2 cents. Don't mind me :)

Chapter 7: TROLL.

Lol.

I prefer...this one. At least, it would seem that both found happiness in their own way. A closure for Taeyeon and...ugh...yeah...the marriage with...yeah...idunwanasayit. x_x. Anyway, I learned something from this. Me want to write something like this too. Would you hit me if i do? Lol~ i wish i can though...real life .

Ps. Thanks for writing dear...dont take too long away from here.i might miss you~~

Chapter 7: I think the idea that time erases all is kinda disheartening. It makes everything seem so unimportant and showed how insignificant we are in front of time. Am I being morbid if I actually prefer ending A? Lol.

Okay, honestly, I think ending A feels more complete in terms of the story flow. At least the two years was somehow explained in ending A and the flow of emotions was smoother, especially with readers are faced with Taeyeon's abrupt end. As for ending B, the two years was skipped over and suddenly Taeyeon is happily planning Tiffany's wedding so there is a sudden jump in terms of emotions. I think the fact that Tiffany married someone else kinda saved that ending (as opposed to Taeyeon marrying Tiffany which is even more abrupt cos they were just breaking up the last chapter and in between wasn't explained.)

Anyways, great job! All the best for school! =DD

Chapter 5: Why is this an epilogue if there are still chapters to follow? I guess you do have to fill in a lot of blanks because that end seems abrupt somehow. Haha! I'm not going to make any guesses as to where this is going. Surprise me, Pris. This doesn't change the fact that I like this story. Its very well- written.
