Kris was stunned, stuck with words that was slowly choking him. He was breathless, unable to even utter a single sound out. “Say what?” He said, his long and streamlined fingers running through his dirt brown hairs in a swift manner.

“We are going for a date. You with Tiff, and Luhan with me!” Sooyoung yelled ecstatically, her lips tugged up into a wide grin. “Isn't that wonderful? You can ask Fany out on that same day, and who knows, she might accept you if you stopped being such a douche and be more romantic.”

Kris rolled his eyes, flicking his fingers at the brunette's forehead. “I don't see why I'm not romantic, I am as romantic as Romeo could be. I had done many ways to propose, okay, that word was so not suitable but you get the meaning. I did everything, maybe she and me, this whole thing is not meant to be. Just like....maybe, you and Luhan.” Kris mumbled the last part, his eyes averting away from his best friend because he knew himself well enough how crazily Sooyoung had liked Luhan since the middle school days, and had been hoping, praying his those girlfriends that he used to have to die in accidents.

Kris had been comforting her whenever Sooyoung came back from school, crying whenever Luhan got himself a new girlfriend instead of noticing her. And Kris had been smacked across, or pinched and slapped by her whenever Luhan talked to her or even just smiled at her. He'd been through that, yet....he didn't know why he said that. Maybe because knowing that your crush was suffering from one-sided love just like you, you just had to help her.

That was what Kris told himself. As much as he wanted Sooyoung to have her own happiness with Luhan just like how she had always dreamt of, Kris couldn't help but his heart reached out for Tiffany, whose heart had be overshadowed for years, her love for her best friend buried deeply in the pit of her heart. Kris just couldn't help but sympathized with Tiffany, because he was in that friend-zoned darkness until she shed lights of hope, and love in his life again.

“Even if destiny says Luhan and I are not compatible, and we are not meant to be..I just don't want to stop trying, and fix everything. Even is the whole world goes against me. That's how much I want to be with him, Kris.” Sooyoung said, nibbling her lower lip.
