I woke up, gently, feelin a closeness similar to the presence of a old friend. As I try and lift my arm, a hand stops me. "You got a IV in ya arm. Don't move," Who was there? Was it Marques? Did he really come back?

My eyes trailed up from where the hands was to a young man. "Where am I?" I ask him- he gets up and turns on the tv. "The hospital." Oh that's right- yesterday. The pills, the bathtub, the razor blade.

"You lost a lot of blood, so be glad your awake. You would've died. Unless that's what you wanted , right?"

"How could you be so ing careless?" 

Thankfully, the doctor didn't say how I sustained my injuries, just that there was an accident in my hotel room. He was sitting with her two year old son and her month old daughter; my niece and nephew. 

"Are you feeling any better? Do you need anything?" Although I've been compared her all these years... I love my sister. "I'm okay, just stay by me. Can I hold Serenity?" She smiles before handing me her.

"Sure Vee."

"Auntie Vee!"

And as I look at the little girl's and little boy's big brown eyes, I wonder, if I can have kids that make me smile like that.
