“What to say...?” godaku sekadar melumerkan keteganggannya.

“Did you already reach the hotel? Have you someone with? Wonnie Oppa or HyukkieOppa maybe?”

“Hey, calm down, will you?” Aku sejenak merasa bersalah mendengar nada khawatir Lynn.

“After reading the uncertain news on my TL and having ignored phone call from someone called himself my boyfie, you just told me to calm down?!”

“You’re cute when you get upset.” Aku hanya tidak bisa menahan diri untuk menyanjungnya; tidak lebih.

Tidak masalah jika kupingku harus memanas mendengar omelannya mengenai kesehatanku sendiri. Akan tetapi aku tidak ingin menjadi beban pikirannya selama kami terpisah untuk beberapa waktu.

“I told the truth!” sanggahku. Aku berjalan mendekati jendela kamarku begitu warna-warni cahaya meramaikan kelam langit. Mendesah kecewa, aku menyaku sebelah tanganku. “Happy new year, Sweetie,” bisikku.  ”I’m sorry for not able on your side again for this celebration. I’ll make it up to you when I’m back.” Aku menurunkan bahuku dengan, lagi-lagi, kekecewaan karena melewatkan gempita tahun ini.

“Happy new year, Hyun. Wishing all the good things for you. Sometimes I wish we can spend some celebrations together, but…“

“I’m sorry,” lirihku lagi, yang kutahu tidak akan memperbaiki apa pun. Absensiku dari sisi Lynn di momen-momen penting sering kali membuatku cemas andai suatu saat dia menyerah terhadapku. “Ask anything for my absence, Lynn.”

“Were you trying to bribe me?”

“So you did?” jantungku tiba-tiba berdetak melebihi normal karena pengakuannya.

“What if it will do me someday?” Aku mengepalkan tanganku yang berada di sakusweatpants yang kukenakan sebagai intepretasi kegelisahan.
