Hongbin x OC: Scenario: (dsyzhfrn's Request)
VIXX One Shots and Scenarios (On Hiatus)“What,” Sunhae grumbled, flinging the door open. It was nearly midnight; who in the world would be ringing her doorbell at this hour?
Hongbin’s face grinned into hers, surprising her; Sunhae wasn’t expecting him at all. It had been weeks since she’d seen him though, so she wasn’t actually complaining.
Busy with VIXX promotions, Hongbin hadn’t been coming over recently. He’d been away, on tour with his band, and immersed in her own hectic schedule, Sunhae hadn’t kept track of when they’d be back in Seoul.
Hongbin chuckled at Sunhae’s grouchy expression. “Well, hello to you too,” he teased, giving her a little peck on the lips. Instantly, she felt bad for snapping at him; it’d been misplaced aggression and Sunhae knew it. She blamed her period – not only did it give her painful cramps in the stomach, but her emotions were all messed up too.
“Hi,” Sunhae said, looking at Hongbin sheepishly – an attempt at compensating for her foul mood earlier. Hongbin noticed his girlfriend's effort and at that, he smiled even wider, dimples showing. He wound his arms around Sunhae’s waist and pulled her into a warm hug.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, breath tickling Sunhae’s ear, and this time, her lips curled upwards to match his. She buried her face into his chest, smiling like an idiot – Already, she was starting to feel better.
“You’re not too bad yourself.”
Hongbin released all of Sunhae but her left hand. “Let’s go on a date,” he announced spontaneously, swinging it back and forth.
Sunhae debated internally. Honestly, it was late. And she was tired. Sunhae felt like a leaking tap and she would rather be at home, sleeping her cramps off, but… there was this rare, excited glint in Hongbin’s eyes.
Seeing it, Sunhae didn’t have the heart to disappoint him. “Okay,” she nodded. “Let’s go.”
However, none of them expected her to burst into tears later on.
“What’s wrong?” Hongbin asked, panic evident in his voice as he stared, wide-eyed, at his girlfriend. Tears were rolling down Sunhae’s cheeks, and Hongbin, completely stupefied, touched her shoulder tentatively.
He didn’t understand – They were having so much fun before, talking and laughing, fooling around in the empty park… and now the girl in front of him was crying. It had happened so suddenly, the hot moisture springing from her eyes when he’d leaned down to kiss her.
“Sorry,” Sunhae sniffled, rubbing at her tears. They were still flowing, warm and salty. “Sorry, I just,” Sniff, “I’m ruining our date – I’m sorry…”
Wordlessly, Hongbin brought her towards his chest once more. “Hey,” he said gently, rubbing soothing circles on her back. “It’s okay,” he placed his lips onto her temple, willing her to smile again.
Sunhae forced herself to stop crying. “I was just,” she let out a little hiccup, “I was just thinking about… how much I missed you,” she admitted, ashamed. “I got overly emotional. Sorry – mood swings.” Stupid hormones.
“Gosh. You scared me,” Hongbin laughed breathily, relieved. “I thought someone died while I was away.” Sunhae started to laugh at herself too; at how ridiculous she was being.
All of a sudden, Hongbin looked at her, eyes boring into hers intently. Immediately, Sunhae fell silent. His husky voice sent shivers down her spine.“Well, I’m here now,” he said. “No reason to miss me anymore.”
And then, his lips were on hers, the both of them under the orange glow of a street light.
