Description
Being a royal has it's perks. If you're a royal, it means you're lucky. It means you can do anything you want.
Jongin is the almighty crown prince of the West Korea and he thinks being a royal is something like a blessing from the heavens. He can do what he wants, he can get what he wants. Unfortunately he happens to be a kind of person who likes reading and writing poems. He's a very literate guy who doesn't know the real meaning of fun.
Eun Geum is the great princess of the East Korea and she thinks she is lucky to be a royal. She can do what she wants, she can get what she wants. And by the means of 'she can do what she wants' is escaping out of the palace, exploring the new world. She happens to be the kind of girl who hates girly things, and by the means of that, she acts like a boy, she likes what the boys usually wants.
The number one perk of being a royal is arranged marriage. You can get married to the same royal or sometimes a chaebol. You don't have to waste time of finding that someone you want to share your whole life with. The queens or sometimes the kings choose the right one for their son/daughter. But unfortunately, arranged marriage is something you can't run away.
And it happens that Prince Jongin and Princess Eun Geum who has the opposite outlooks of their lives will be in an arranged marriage.
What a benefit it is.

Once upon a time in Joseon Era, the Korea was separated in two: The East Korea and The West Korea. The Kings of the East and West Korea were the best of friends.
And they decided to merge the two kingdoms into one to create the most powerful kingdom. And that would only happen if the East Kingdom's Princess Geum and the West Kingdom's Prince Jongin would marry.
What happens if the prince and princess, who had the opposite character, marry?
The East Kingdom had a Princess. The only princess they had. Unfortunately, she turned out to be the not-so-girly and ungraceful princess, she should be. She's like the opposite one who likes boy's stuff. She hates being girly.
Heh. She's too cool for that.
She likes riding horses, likes wearing those clothes that are mostly worn by the soldiers. She used to sneak out of the palace without everyone knows. She knows martial arts like a big pro as the King assigned the senior teacher in the military academy. She just loved to wander around the city since no normal persons know her as the princess. And one thing, she loves the commoner life.
And here is the almighty Prince Jongin who tends to be called, Prince Kai. Well, he's the total opposite of the awesome Princess Geum. Why? Well he's the I'm-too-mature type of prince who only loves reading books and writing poems.
Playing games? Hanging out with friends? Hul. That's so childish for him.
Yeah I know, HE IS BORING.
He may be tall, tan, handsome and y but he's the not-so-manly type. He never left the palace, he doesn’t know how to properly hold a sword and here's one more shame, he can't ride a freaking HORSE. So coward. Despite all of that, he had a passion and talent for painting. He has this one book where he compiles all of his paintings. He paints whenever he gets the feel. He may can't hold a sword and ride a horse but there's one thing you can't win against him, debating. He had the sharp tongue and fast mind that he is capable of debating with his father and with the ministers with his sharp yet meaningful words.

19 years old.
The only princess of the East Kingdom who's a not-so-girly princess yet she's a one of a kind, a unique girl that anyone would never be able to find someone like her in that time. She's literally a TOMBOY. She preferred using her time in swordplay, martial arts, horseback riding and sneaking out of the palace.
She may be childish sometimes but she has a big heart. When she sneaks out of the palace, the first thing she do is help those in need.
Kim Jongin/Kai
20 years old
The Crown Prince of the West kingdom who's really hot and handsome. He is tan, tall and he has soft plump lips that made him look hotter. He may look really cool like one of those varsity players nowadays but he's actually not. He can't ride a horse, can't hold a sword and fight. He preferred reading books and writing poems. And honestly he's a prodigy. Since he's a child, he can deeply explain those Chinese proverbs and hell he can debate with the ministers and his father.
He may be cold sometimes but behind all of that, he's a man with the big heart. He's also caring oftentimes when he's in sorry.

He was a commoner along with his friends, BTS. His parents owned a wood crafting shop where he works as a wood crafter. He may look quiet but when you get to know him, he's a big dork and cute who likes playing around. He's really kind, generous and caring. He's two months younger than Geum.
