Description
It's not like I'm insane, let alone mentally disturbed— I'm just a little self-conscious. Okay maybe more than just a little. But I mean it's not like I wanted to cut myself and start bleeding everywhere. It was an accident, I swear. Anyway, now I'm stuck in this home for mental freaks for god knows how long, and to make it worse, I think I'm crushing on the dude living across me.
Foreword
"What kind of sick joke is this?!" Seul Mi cried behind the barred window.
"Ms. Oh, please restrain yourself," the woman in white assured.
"Let me out of this.. this.. what is this?!" Seul Mi yelled hysterically.
"Ms. Oh, you are now a patient at Exotic Mental Asylum. You are currently on probation level two'" the woman said calmly.
"What?! Exotic Mental Asylum?? What kind of mental asylum is named Exotic?? Isn't that word reserved for.. oh I don't know— RESORTS and NOT mental hospitals??" she yelled.
"Ms. Oh! Please lower your voice!" the woman whispered harshly," it is very late at night, and you should be resting!"
"Well I'm sorry I was yelling!" she screamed, "it's not like I can tell what time it is through this stupid, white cushioned windowless room!"
"Alright!" the woman snapped, "because you have been so uncooperative, I'll give you one last warning. If you throw another fit, we will be forced to move you up to probation level three."
"How fun," Seul Mi said sarcastically, "I get moved up a level! It's like a FREAKING GA-"
"We will sedate you and keep you in restraints until we rule you harmless— harmless to both our staff and yourself. Do you hear me? Now quit whining!"
The word 'sedate' kept Seul Mi silent. She hated needles. In fact, you could say she despised them.
"Good," the woman said.
She continued, "I will see you tomorrow at seven. The lights in your room will go out in approximately two minutes. Good night" and she left.
The lights suddenly went out and the white walls turned tar black. Seul Mi tightly gripped the window bars, peering into the bright hallway—the only source of light emanating the cubic room. Quivering, she slowly turned around and cursed under her breath.
"Crap, tell me why I'm still afraid of the dark again?"
