Marshmallows In Hot Chocolate

Yijung hooked the last ornament onto the tree and grinned. The fairy lights wrapped around the tree flickered white and blue, reflecting off the cream coloured walls. Dokyun was busy writing down the names of each member on the presents littered on the floor. Sihyung was messily wrapping up whatever presents were left with silver paper. He could see Jaeho’s silhouette from where he was as the other male hung ornaments on their balcony.

He turned his back to the balcony and perked up when he heard the leader’s voice calling out his name. The sound of his footsteps on the floor echoed as he padded towards the kitchen where the leader was. He beamed when saw Kyungil slicing marshmallows on the counter top. Five mugs of hot chocolate sat next to him as he prepared the best part of the drink. Yijung hopped onto the counter top and dipped the chopped marshmallows into chocolate powder.

He carefully arranged the marshmallows in the mugs, making sure everyone had an equal amount. Kyungil chuckled when he saw Yijung forming a heart with the marshmallows for one of the mugs. “Whose is that?” He asked despite already knowing the answer. Yijung felt his face heat up and he pouted at the leader. He used his index finger to poke the leader’s nose, giggling when the leader growled playfully.

He leaned his forehead against Kyungil’s shoulder as he arranged the last of the marshmallows in the mugs. Kyungil grabbed onto a couple of cookies and crumbled them in his palm. He dusted the cookie crumbles into the drinks, making sure to dust a little more than the rest into Yijung’s mug without the said male noticing. He arranged three of the mugs onto a tray and carried them out to the rest of the guys as Yijung stayed watching from the counter.

He sipped onto the piping hot drink, humming as he chewed on the marshmallows. He grinned when Kyungil returned with the empty tray, sliding it back into the cupboard. Yijung tugged on the leader’s sweater, pulling the man towards him. He wrapped his legs around the man’s thighs and locked his ankles. Kyungil chuckled when he noticed the chocolate powder at the edge of Yijung’s lips. “You’re still such a baby.” he teased and wiped it off with the pad of his thumb. “Hyung, you’re forgetting something.” Yijung whined, frowning when Kyungil looked at him cluelessly.

He pointed at his lips with his index finger. He puckered up to emphasise the point. His eyes fluttered close as Kyungil leaned in and pecked him on the lips.

“Merry Christmas Eve.”

Snow

Yijung groaned as someone shook his shoulder. He swung his arm around in an effort to slap the person away from his body. He mumbled into the pillow about killing someone when he woke up. He curled up even more under his blanket, moving away from the intrusive hand. He whined when the person grabbed his blanket and tore it away from his body. He kicked his legs around, trying to kick the intruder. He sighed when his feet only met air.

“Yijung! Wake up for god’s sake!” Kyungil said exasperatedly. He grabbed onto Yijung’s ankles and dragged the drowsy boy out of his bed. He snorted when Yijung dropped onto the floor & curled up into a foetal position. He hooked his arms underneath Yijung’s and lifted the boy up onto his feet. “Let me sleep some more hyung.” Yijung murmured and fell into his embrace, falling asleep in Kyungil’s warm arms.

“It’s snowing Yijung!” Kyungil chirped and grinned when he saw the boy’s face light up. “It is? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?!” Yijung cried out and ran to the window. He stared at the falling snowflakes in awe. He’d seen snow all his life but it never failed to amaze him. His lips stretched out into a sleepy smile as he admired the pure white covered trees and buildings. They looked so pretty basking in the morning sunlight.

He pushed the window open and reached a hand out. He signaled to Kyungil to stand next to him and stick his hand out too. Kyungil chuckled at the childish gleam on Yijung’s face but stuck his hand out the window nonetheless. He shivered when snowflakes fell into his palm. He watched intently as they instantly melted in his warm palm. He cupped his hands and captured more of the snow in his palms.

Kyungil watched in silence as Yijung stuck his head out and attempted to capture one of the snowflakes in his mouth. He jumped when Yijung caught one & grabbed his face, pressing a kiss onto his lips. “W-what?” Kyungil stuttered. He covered his face with his hands, trying to hide the blush that was sure to be on his cheeks.

“Snow kiss.”
