White Confession: A Writing Contest (Closed)

A writing contest dedicated to winter.

Foreword

General Information:

After expressing interest in hosting a writing contest, Henry (MoonGlowes) and I (kpopluvr18) decided to host one together. For both of us, this will be our first contest, so we hope that you'll enter! Entries are open to any and all pairings, as well as genres.

Prompts will be available, but there will be an opportunity for you to create your own prompt (as long as it relates to winter).

The Rules:

001. One entry per person
002. The story must be posted after November 30, 2013
003. Please link back to this contest in your description or foreword
004. Co-authors are not recommended; beta readers are allowed
005. As stated above, there will be no restrictions in regard to pairings and genre
006. Please keep entries under fifteen chapters or 30,000 words.
007. The password is winter daze, which you should put into the "Anything Else" section of the application. You can post the app in the comments section of this fanfic to enter.
007. You may submit the link to your story as soon as you post it. Make sure to notify us when it is completed.
008. Please subscribe to the contest thread. Upvoting is optional but appreciated.
009. If possible, please create a blog post to spread the word about this contest!
010. If an extension is needed, PM either kpopluvr18 or MoonGlowes at least one week before the deadline.

The Deadline: February 28, 2014

How We Judge:

Henry and I will probably have different methods of grading.

kpopluvr18: I will focus on how well you use your prompt in the creation of your story. Grammar matters to me, but in the current circumstances, will not matter as much in the judging of this contest. Please avoid the overuse of coding, as the appearance of a story does not matter to me.

MoonGlowes: Grammar and appearance are quite big for me, but I will focus more on the overall flow and how well the prompt was used in your story. Understanding the characters is obviously needed, so good character development is another thing I will look for in your story.

The Prizes:

1st place: 500 karma, 3 graphics from MoonGlowes (wallpapers for desktops, posters, banners), 3 story reviews from kpopluvr18's shop

2nd place: 300 karma, 2 graphics from MoonGlowes (wallpapers for desktops, posters, banners), 2 story reviews from kpopluvr18's shop

3rd place: 200 karma, 1 graphic from MoonGlowes (wallpapers for desktops, posters, banners), 1 story review from kpopluvr18's shop
