“Hey, Kyuhyun, mind passing me that salt shaker on the table?”

Siwon had his left hand reached out to his back to Kyuhyun who was sitting nearby behind the counter while his right hand was busy stirring the soup, heating in the pot.    Kyuhyun responded nothing to that at first. He was staring long and hard at the back of the tall man. Upon seeing the said man reached out further, he took the salt container in front of him and passed it to Siwon. Feeling the shaker being shoved into his hand, Siwon grabbed it, fast in adding the salt into his vegetable soup, “Thanks. It’s gonna be ready in a minute, help me prepare the table.”    He didn't hear any reply but he knew Kyuhyun was on it by the sound of the chair scraping against the floor and clanking utensils.    Pouring the content of the hot pot into a big bowl and plating it on the table, he sat down opposite to the silent man before him and began his prayer.    “Dig in!” Siwon happily began to enjoy the food, occasionally directing smiles towards Kyuhyun who had been looking at him for quite a moment before the younger too, started touching his plate.    “This is cool.. My mother would be really, I mean really proud of me if she knows I can cook this.. gorgeously!” Siwon laughed. He could hear some snorts coming from the younger.    “Hey don’t mock me! As if you haven’t been finishing everything I cook for you every day. You secretly love my cooking, don’t ya?” Siwon goofily laughed before making exaggerated slurping sounds while eating his noodles just to make his point. Again, the younger only snorted at his proud face but Siwon knew that he’s just so much of a brat to admit it.    Little did Siwon know, his words had gotten to the younger.    “Every day…” Kyuhyun thought to himself. Indeed.    He didn’t know how did it get to this.      Siwon no longer brought him take-out food. Take-outs had changed to home-cooking. Breakfasts had changed to dinners. From strangers, they were now friends- or two college guys on speaking terms as Kyuhyun would rather call it. But, how did all these changes take place?    It just happened to be that, one day Siwon had woken up late and the sun was right above his head by the time he reached Kyuhyun’s house. Thinking that the younger might be waiting for his food and had been starving all morning waiting for him, he had rushed to Kyuhyun's but forgot to stop by any restaurant hence ended up having nothing to fill the younger's poor empty stomach with.    And he knew very well that a hungry Kyuhyun was never a happy Kyuhyun.    Luckily for him, he had always made sure that Kyuhyun’s fridge would be filled with fresh food and protein and so he had offered the younger his cooking that day, and considering it’s lunch time anyway, he had cooked a proper meal for the both of them. Also, mainly because seeing that Kyuhyun would never agree to eat out with him.   “I’m not that much of a great cook.. but I always love sitting in the kitchen, talking with my mom while watching her cook since I was a kid, though I never actually helped, but I think I picked up some drills.” said Siwon and he began rummaging around in the kitchen cabinet for the utensils needed.   Kyuhyun remained seated behind the counter, watching Siwon’s busy figure, staying away from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen.    Siwon talked a lot. God, he talked about everything. He couldn’t go without opening his mouth and just talk about anything at all. Though Siwon was being such an annoying chatterbox, not once Kyuhyun complained that afternoon because a) he was in fact, really very extremely hungry that day and letting Siwon talk would make the man happy, and a happy Siwon is a high functioning Siwon.    And b) It ended up that Siwon’s cooking was not that bad either. Surprisingly. So really, he couldn’t complain.     He also couldn’t really remember just how did his lonely dinner had become dinner for two.    Sure there was that one Saturday, Siwon was being all elevated to cook something special with the chicken. A meal he had claimed he had learnt from his mother over dinner the previous night. But they had went to the hospital for a check up that morning and it took the whole afternoon, and by the time they returned home, the sun was already setting.    Siwon had stayed behind for a while before deciding that Kyuhyun should eat something as he hadn’t eaten anythin
