My girl

Jessica’s POV

“Hi, babyyyy!”

“Omo!”

And, a kiss suddenly landed on Sooyoung’s innocent cheek.

“Yah!”, she exclaimed in anger while wiping her cheek in disgust, glaring at the person who just did that to her.

“Aigoo.. you looked so cute when you are mad, baby”,  said the beautiful girl, but she looked a bit older than us. I don’t know why, but somehow I felt a sudden hurt in my heart. Did Sooyoung has already had someone special in her life? Sooyoung quickly got up from the couch, and grabbed the girl’s arm.

“Errm.. excuse us for awhile, Sica”, Sooyoung said while giving me her awkward smile, and quickly dragged the girl out of her office room.

After both of them disappeared from my sight, I sighed, and slumped my shoulder down as I suddenly felt restless.

I have to admit, I started to like her from the first time I met her during my first interview. I could feel that she also felt the same way too. The way she treated me from the first day I worked at her company until now, and when she sometimes acted shyly whenever she’s around me. Not to forget, the first time she hugged me as she wanted to express her thankful to me. From that moment I know, she do have feelings for me, and lately she kept on showing the sign that she likes me. I’m not trying to exaggerate about this, but, people said, when the feeling is mutual, both can feel it.

But, yeah, as for the moment, I just realized that we are living in reality. I should have known, a gorgeous and rich girl like Sooyoung will always have admirers around her. And, it’s not possible for her to have a girlfriend right now. I couldn’t help but to feel a bit jealous when that girl suddenly barge into her room calling her ‘baby’, and kissed her cheek. She’s such a lucky girl to have Sooyoung as her girlfriend. Yeah, at this point, I realized that I should give up and move on.

“Sica, Sica… Yah! Jessica Jung!”, a voice suddenly snapped me out of my train of thought.

“D-dae?”, I replied in dazed.

“I have called you many times, but, you’re seems like in your own world. Where’s our CEO Miss Choi Sooyoung by the way?”, Sunny asked. She put the files on Sooyoung’s desk, and walking towards the couch to sit across mine.

“She is.. out for a while.. with a girl..”, I replied hesitantly.

“A girl?”, Sunny exclaimed in surprise. She then glanced at her wristwatch, and her face suddenly turned into a smirk.

“Ah, that girl..”, she said with a grin. She looked like have something in her mind, but she tried to hold it.

“You.. you know her?”, I asked, raising my brows.

“Of course I know her, though. She’s Sooyoung’s favorite girl, and she loves her so much”, Sunny replied smilingly. Aishh.. her smile, why it looks like, mischievous?

“Oh, ermm.. her g-girlfriend?”, I asked her nervously. Although I have already knew the girl could be a Sooyoung’s girlfriend, but my curiosity kills me, and I have no choice but to shoot that question to her. Sunny let out a soft chuckle.

“You can say that. More than a girlfriend actually.. euhehehe..”, she said while giggling. Aishh.. this danshin!

“W-what do you mean?”, I asked. She just shrugged.

“Ask Sooyoung when she come back later. Alright, I need to go now. I have a lunch date with my fiancee today”, she said as she got up from the couch.

“O-oh, really? Arasso”, I replied, couldn’t help but to feel a bit disappointed. Sunny waved her hand at me before she walked out of the room.

“Aishh… Choi Sooyoung, where are you?”, I mumbled while looking at the wall clock of her room. The time is already 1.00 p.m. I took my phone from the coffee table, and checking if there’s any miss call or incoming text message left while waiting for her to come back.

Sooyoung’s POV

“Aishhh.. I don’t want to go with you, unnie. I have made a promise to Jessica to have a lunch together”, I lied to her. The fact is that I don’t want her to disturb my moment with Jessica.

“You ditched your own sister just because of that Jessica girl. How sad!”, Soojin unnie sadly said while pouting.

“Yah! Who told you to not making any appointment with me, huh? Serves you right!”, I snapped at her while rolling my eyes annoyingly.

“Tch. Do I have to make appointment just to go out for lunch with my dongsaeng? Such a nonsense!”, she scoffed.

“Of course you must do that, Miss Choi Soojin. And, to remind you once again, I am the CEO of this company. You need to make appointment through my PA, Sunny, arasso?”, I said.

“Ara, ara!”, she exclaimed while rolling her eyes. “But, please! Can I tag along? I don’t want to eat alone, please.. pleaseeeeeeeeeee!”, she begged me while doing aegyo which is really annoying.

“Yah! Enough with your stupid aegyo!”, I snapped while glaring at her. But, she keep doing her stupid aegyo which I hated the most, batting her eyelashes while pouting.

“Aishh.. arasso. But, with one condition, don’t ask anything on Jessica, okay?”, I warned her.

“Yeayyy! I love you, Choi Sooyoung!”, she cheered happily while engulfed me into a hug. Aigoo.. this childish sister of mine!

“Alright, enough, Choi Soojin! Let me go”, I said as I tried to release myself from her embrace.

“Opss.. sorry!”, she said as she immediately pulled off the hug.

“I need to go back to my room. Can you please wait for me at the lobby downstairs?”, I said to her.

“Arasso. See you later. Byeeee!”, she exclaimed excitedly while pinching my cheek hard.

“Oww!”, I groaned in pain, and before I could chase her, the childish sister of mine already sprinted to the elevator. I just shook my head while glaring at her, and turned my heels back to my office room.

“Hey, sorry for making you waiting”, I said as soon as I entered my office room. Jessica startled as she was engrossed with her phone earlier, and quickly put her phone back on the coffee table.

“Ermm.. it’s okay”, Jessica replied with a faint smile.

“I’m so sorry. That was my…”, I was about to continue my words when it suddenly got cut off.

“Your girlfriend, right? It’s okay. I understand”, she said. My eyes got widened upon hearing her words just now, and inadvertently burst out laughing. Jessica furrowed her brows while looking at me.

“W-waeyo?”, she asked in confused. I stopped my laughing, and wiped the tears that formed at the corner of my eyes because of the effect of the laughing earlier.

“I’m so sorry, Sica. She’s not my girlfriend actually. She’s my elder sister, Choi Soojin”, I said, still giggling.

“Oh, chincha?”, she replied while smiling shyly. I could see her face reddened due to the embarrassment. I nodded my head while slowly walking towards her, and sat next to her on the couch. I glanced at her, and I noticed she was biting her lips while lowering her head down, gazing on the floor.

“Alright, Choi Sooyoung! This is the chance”, I thought as I braved myself, slowly grabbing her hand that was on her lap. She startled at first, but she did not immediately withdrew her hand, instead she just let me holding it. I smiled as I could feel that she might have the same feeling as mine.

“Ermm.. Sica. I..”, I paused, and tried to gain my inner strength to make my confession to her.

“Yes?”, she answered without looking at me.  

“I.. I want to tell you something..”, I said. She slowly lifted her head, and staring at me.

“A-about what?”, she replied, a bit stuttering. I think she might feel nervous as I am. I took a deep breath, and slowly exhale it as I started to speak.

“I.. I used to have a girlfriend back then, during my high school time. But, eventually we broke up, maybe because we are not meant to be together. Since then, I never had a girlfriend, and I never opened my heart to any other girls who showed their interest on me. Until I saw your profile one day for the job interview”, I said. I shifted my gaze at her, and bravely lifted her chin to stare into her eyes.

“I fell for you, Jessica Jung. I like you”, there, finally I bravely confessed my feelings to her. Still staring into her eyes, I could see she slowly smiling, sweetly rather shyly.

“I.. I like you too, Choi Sooyoung”, she replied. Oh. My. God! Did she just said she likes me? Jessica Jung likes me too! Omo!

“Chinca?”, I exclaimed as my eyes got widened in surprise. She slowly nodded her head, her sweet and shy smile never left from her face. I couldn’t hide my excitement as I immediately pulled her into my embrace.

“Thank you… thank you.. thank you, Sica!”, I thanked her many times as I felt so happy. I could feel she slowly wrapped her arms around my waist.

“Don’t mention”, she replied. I hugged her tight, and for a few seconds I felt my phone vibrated inside my pants pocket.

“Aishh.. such a wrong timing to ruin the moment!”, I grunted. I quickly pulled off the hug, and gestured Jessica to wait as I need to take the call. I looked at the phone screen, and immediately groaning in frustration as I saw the caller’s ID.

“Yah, Choi Soojin! I told you to wait for me at the lobby!”, I snapped at her.

“For your information, Choi Sooyoung, I have waited for fifteen minutes like forever in here, and I’m starving like hell!”, she snapped at me back. I looked at Jessica, and mouthed to her that it’s my sister who was on the line. She just smiled and nodded her head understandingly. I got up from the couch, and walked towards my desk to take my handbag and car keys.

“Ara, ara. I will come down with Jessica in five minutes. Wait there!”, I said as I hung up.

“Waeyeo?”, Jessica asked in confused. She got up from the couch, and walked towards me.

“I promised to have a lunch with my sister. She’s have been waiting for us at the lobby for fifteen minutes. She’s already turned into a green monster right now”, I said as I chuckled.

“Oh..”, she replied while giggling. I grabbed her hand, and intertwined our hands together. She looked at our entwined hands, and smiled shyly.

“Let’s have a lunch together with that green monster”, I said jokingly, earning a laugh from her.

“Are you sure I’m not disturbing your lunch date, girls?”, Soojin unnie asked while glancing at the rear mirror. She sat at the front seat next to me, while Jessica sat at the back seat. Soojin unnie offered her to sit at the front earlier, but she refused as she wanted to show her respect to my sister. Aww.. that’s my girl!

“It’s okay, unnie. But, only this time”, I replied, earning a glare from her.

“Meanie Choi Sooyoung!”, she said while crossing her arms.

“You said earlier that you don’t want to disturb us. Now you’re saying I am a meanie? What is that?”, I replied, shaking my head as I felt irritated.

“Aishh.. just forget about it, Soo”, she said with a frustrated tone. I know, Soojin unnie must felt like she was being left out after I introduced Jessica as my girlfriend to her. All this while, I always rely on her, and we will definitely together to everywhere we go. I looked into the rear mirror while glancing at Jessica, and she noticed that I was glancing at her. She smiled at me, and using her eyes signal, she gestured me to making up with my sister. Well, I’m glad that she’s my girlfriend now. At least she could become the Choi sister’s peacemaker. I slowly let out a soft sigh.

“I’m sorry, unnie. Of course you can join us whenever you want. I was just kidding with you earlier”, I said with a smile.

“Chincha? Aww.. thank you my dongsaeng!”, Soojin unnie said as she hooked her arm through mine.

“Aishh.. stop it, unnie. I’m driving right now”, I said as I could feel my arm like being pulled by her. I glanced at the rear mirror again and I could see Jessica was covering , laughing. I couldn’t help but to chuckle.

“Opss.. sorry! Hehe..”, she apologized while giggling. We then continue with our small chatting while heading to the place that we’re going to have our lunch.

“Thanks for the lunch, baby girl”, Soojin unnie thanked me after I stopped my car in front of my office building. I saw our family car’s was already there.

“You’re welcome, unnie. I’ll see you at home later, okay?”, I replied as I leaned closer to kiss her cheek.

“Okay, see ya. Nice to meet you Jessica!”, Soojin unnie said while turned to Jessica who was at the back seat

“Nice to meet you too, unnie”, Jessica replied smilingly.

“Alright, I need to go now. See you girls later!”, Soojin unnie said while getting off the car. She waved at us before she walked towards our family’s car.

“Where to, boss?”, I asked playfully while glancing at Jessica through the rear mirror. She giggled upon hearing my words.

“Back to the office, driver”, she replied as she played along while giggling.

“Arasso”, I said with a grin while starting to drive the car to the basement parking space.

“Alright, we’re here, boss!”, I said soon after I parked my car at my parking space. I quickly got off the car, and jogged to the back seat of the car to open the door for Jessica.

“Thank you”, she thanked me while getting off the car.

“You’re welcome”, I replied as I closed the door. “Kaja!”, I said while holding out my hand to her. She smiled as she grabbed my hand, and intertwined our hands together. We left the parking space, and heading to the elevator.

“After you, madame”, I said as soon as the elevator’s door opened.

“Thank you”, she thanked me while entering inside. A sweet smile never left from her lips that instantly melts me. After the elevator’s door closed, with our still entwined hands, I stood at her back, and slowly hugging her from behind. She startled at first, and I could feel her body tensed, but slowly she felt relaxed and leaned her back on me. My heart couldn’t stop jumping soon as our body become so close. I inhale the sweet smell of her hair, and rested my chin on her shoulder. She brought her hand on the back of my head, and patted it gently. I was about to say those three magic words to her when suddenly the elevator stops at level four, the floor which our company’s cafeteria was located. We automatically distance ourselves soon after the door’s opened.

“Oh, Jessica ssi, Sooyoung ssi, annyeong!”, greeted the three male workers while bowing to us. I didn’t really recognize them. Maybe they were from other department.

“Annyeong”, Jessica replied with a smile. One of the male worker then stand so close to Jessica, and it really made my heart boiling with anger.

“Ermm.. Jessica ssi. A-are you free tonight?”, the male worker asked. Jessica was surprised with his sudden question immediately turned to look at me. I just gave her a faint smile.

“No, I’m not free tonight. Why?”, she replied.

“Oh, ermm.. I-I thought I want to ask you out, to have dinner with me. But, I think maybe next time”, he said, sounded disappointed. The other two male workers which I guessed his close friends giving an encourage pat on her shoulder.

“I see. Erm.. but, I’m so sorry. I’m taken. My girlfriend doesn’t like me to go out with strangers”, Jessica said while turning at her back to look at me. I was dumbfounded after hearing her words, and causing my eyes widened in surprise.”

“Oh, c-chincha? I’m.. I’m sorry”, the male worker then quickly distance himself from her. The elevator then stopped at level ten. The three male workers then bowed to us again, and immediately went out of the elevator.

“Sooyoungie..”, Jessica said soon after the door closed, and turned her body to face me. She then leaned closer to me, and slowly wrapping her arms around my waist to hug me.

“Gwenchana”, I replied as I returned the hug. I thought maybe she felt guilty towards me with what was happened earlier. She buried her face on my chest.

“I love you”, she mumbled slowly, but loud enough for me to hear. I couldn’t help but to feel butterflies on my stomach upon hearing those magic words that I was about to say to her earlier.

“I was about to say ‘I love you’ to you too before those monkeys entered the elevator, and ruin our romantic moment”, I said as I chuckled.

“Soo!”, she exclaimed and lifted her face to look at me. She playfully smacked on my arm while pouting. Aigoo.. so cute!

“I’m sorry. I love you too, baby”, I said while pulling her closer, and hugged her tight. We stayed hugging each other just like that until the elevator stops at level twenty where our office were located.

“Alright, let’s get back to work”, I said as I slowly released the hug. She then holding out her hand, and I grabbed hers and entwined our hands together while walking out of the elevator.

“So, Jessica ssi. Are you free tonight?”, I asked her teasingly, copying of what the male worker said to her inside the elevator earlier.

“Yah!”, she exclaimed, and her hand automatically smacked my arm. I chuckled as I felt amused looking at her frowning face.

“I’m asking you seriously, Jessica ssi. Since your girlfriend doesn’t like you to go out with strangers, so, she wants to take you out for dinner tonight”, I said smilingly. Her frowning face then slowly turned into a smile. We were in front of her office room’s door at that time.

“Arasso. Pick me up at eight sharp in the evening”, she said smilingly, and before she managed to walk inside her room, I grabbed her wrist, and pulled her closer to me. I wrapped my arm around her waist, and leaned closer to her face. She looked surprise, and immediately closed her eyes as she thought I wanted to kiss her lips. Instead, I just kiss on her forehead.

“I will save that for tonight”, I whispered into her ears before I released her, and slowly walking away from her. I turned back to look at her, and saw she was still standing there, looking at me walking away from her. I waved at her with a grin before jogged back to my office room.

“My girl, my girl, you’re my girl”, I sang the song happily while entering my office room.
