Youhee pouted and continued to pull on Onew’s sweat-shirt, pulling the loose material down to her eye-level to get Onew’s attention. In her other hand, there was a tattered copy of ‘The humble shrimp’, and she waved it about, pleading for Onew to read it for her.

‘Pleaseeeeeeeee just one more book!’ Youhee whined, frowning as Onew took a stern look at her.

‘No Youhee, it’s already been….’ He pointed at the huge mountain of books he’s already read to her for almost 6 hours. ‘THAT much – no more. I mean, it took me 4 hours just for that one book over there! What was it? Rich Batman’s: The short walk?’

‘NO! Richard Bachmann’s: The long walk!’

Onew rolled his eyes. ‘Just please honey, GO AND SLEEP!’ his tone almost reached a begging tone as he threw his puppy eyed look at the frowning girl one thirds his size.

‘No.’ Youhee was adamant. ‘One more.’

Onew glared and carefully sat on her bed. ‘Fine. Just ONE more.’

Youhee instantly brightened and ran to his lap, grabbing his hands to get him to hold the book. Onew wrapped his arms around her and started reading slowly, squinting to read the faded print.

‘Once upon a time, there was a humble shrimp aka Youjin. She was so extremely humble and amazing and wonderful and gorgeous and just simply so very brilliant and beautiful and y that all the other shrimps fell in love with her at first glance!’

Youhee gasped. ‘She must’ve been so amazing!!’ (writer’s note: LOL.)

‘So this shrimp confesses to her one day, and she rejects him! He got extremely mad and threatened to turn her into sushi if she doesn’t marry him!!!!!!’

‘OH NO!’

‘but WOW LISTEN TO THIS YOUHEE! Youjin didn’t care about the low-leveled shrimp, so she refused and…’ Onew paused for affect. ‘ SHE KILLED THE MALE SHRIMP AND WAS SOLO FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE!!’

‘WOW!’ Youhee cried. ‘HOW HUMBLE! HOW AMAZING! HOW INCREDIBLY BRAINY AND FANTASTIC!!!! NOT EVEN DAN BROWN COUD’VE WROTE SOMETHING BETTER!!’

Onew felt tears of amazement falling as he closed the book. ‘Th-that… was amazing Youhee – I’m so glad that you made me read that…’

Youhee was heartfelt as he started to sob in happiness. ‘You finally share my love for books…! I’m so proud of you daddy!’ She went and hugged Onew, who was just about to say something when the door suddenly opened.

Taemin stared at them incredulously and rolled his eyes.

‘You’ve been reading again you two?’ He frowned at the guilty girl. ‘How many times do I have to tell you NOT to let Onew read Youhee? He won’t be able to sleep for days now!’
