It is sunny and warmer than usual. The streets are filled with people and Jessica can hear the excited screams of a little girl, a baby wailing and the chatter outside her window. She exhales a little and glances at Tiffany. Tiffany is all rainbows and sunshine, her usual eyesmile present. For once, Tiffany looks strong, healthy even, her cheeks filled with colour. Tiffany slips a hand into hers, grinning widely at her as she lies down on the bed. 

Jessica tries her best to return the smile with one of her own. But Tiffany isn't blind, she notices the forced smile and the clenched teeth.

"Hey, it's okay," Tiffany soothes her somehow, assures her that everything will be okay. And Jessica's grateful for the extra reassurance.

She needs it.

Trusting Tiffany and believing Tiffany, she nods her head slightly. This time, she flashes a genuine smile at Tiffany

As long as Tiffany's here, everything will be alright.
