Just then, Lu Han’s heart sank. He left the room and Henry didn’t stop him. As Henry picked up a fallen sheet his brown orbs landed on a certain shiny thing beneath it. The blonde picked it up too and carefully examined it reading the text “I see, so now all I have to do is to know whether it’s Kris’ or Lu Han’s

He placed the ring on the piano thinking what he should do about it until he heard knocks “Yes?”

The door opened revealing a displeased blonde giant “Is Lu Han—“

“I heard Amber’s back”

“…Yeah”

“How is she?”

“Same as always”

Henry smiled “That’s good”. He then arranged the scores and put them into their proper places while Kris quietly stood there not until some certain jewel caught his eyes

“Where did you get this?”

“Don’t know… I just saw it beneath my scattered sheets when I was cleaning up” Henry shrugged but he didn’t miss the change on Kris’ face. Interesting “I think its Lu Han’s” he paused when Kris looked up “… he dropped by”

“D-did you know—“

“I’m sorry” Henry shook his head “He didn’t tell me where he’s going”

Kris frowned “I-I see…” he turned back, still holding the ring, and walked towards the door. Henry just stared until Kris suddenly stopped his tracks and just held the door knob without looking back he said, “By the way” he opened the door “this’s mine” and exited.

 

 

“You’re fucked, Lu Han” he curses under his breath clutching his hairs while tears still coming out of his eyes. I’m not in love with him… I’m not. I won’t so please stop hurting yourself Lu Han.

“Did I hear it right?”

The owner of the voice behind him very much successfully did a very good job surprising him. He unconsciously shrieked like a girl seeing a cockroach. “Wh—“

“Are you crying?”

Realizing his situation now, he immediately wiped his tears “No! I-I mean… no. I-it’s just d-dust” he smiled “A guy won’t cry anyways, right?”

The girl just stared at him “You’re a guy?”

“W-what’s that supposed to mean?!”

“But you’re too cute to be a guy! You even said you were fucked and you were crying so I thought—“

Lu Han’s face became bright red hearing those words “I didn’t mean it that way! It’s an expression, an expression! It’s not my fault you took it that way!”

“You’re funny” the girl laughed “it’s even the first time I’ve seen a guy shriek”. She offered her hand to help Lu Han up but Lu Han refused. He stood by himself when she offered her hand again “I’m—“

“Amber”

She, of course, looked at him curiously “How did—“

Lu Han of course didn’t miss it. The fact that she’s wearing that exact necklace Kris gave her proved it. “I mean… I can smell Amber?”

“Oh… right, right” she smiled “must be the garden”

Of course, he lied. There was never amber here in the first place

“Yeah” he returned the smile “I guess so”

“Well, I’m Amber. Ironic isn’t it?”

I literally meant you actually. “Haha, you’re right!”

“Your name?

“Lu Han, Xi Lu Han”

“Oh, nice name” she smiled again “By the way, do you know where the music studio is?”

“Umm, fourth floor. Just take the elevator on the west wing then take a turn to the right and then on the 3^rd to the last room. It’s faster that way than using the directory”

“Oh geez! Thank you so much Lulu!” she bid her goodbye then

Lulu huh?...

“I’m so pathetic”

The words almost felt like a whisper but Henry heard it right, “They’re so stupid I just want to push them to the cliff so they could die together”

He then continued cleaning the room like half an hour or so until it was clean and presentable enough “Janitors are so lazy cleaning this studio” he chuckled as he saw the score fly towards the ground again “I wonder what happened to those buffoons, maybe I should really push them off the cliff to make them realize how wonderful life is” he grinned

“Are you trying to be a cupid or a murderer?”

Henry looked at the source of voice and sighed in exasperation “Finally, Amber! Finally! You have risen from the depths of hell and came here unharmed!”

“Shut the fuck up, Henry. I’m going to drag you back in hell if you keep doing that”

“Same ol’ Amber is still here” he smiled

Amber sat on the couch and made herself comfortable “SO… after all the trouble I went just to come here, what do you want me to do?”

Henry grinned

“You spawn of Satan” Amber glared “Just tell me already or I’ll tell everyone you’ve been lazing around and made Kris do all the job because you have the power to do so”

“Haha, fine! I give up!” Henry raised both of his hands “Help me with this” he pointed to another unfinished score

Amber examined the song when Henry passed it to her “…but aren’t you still finishing that piece with Kris?”

“This is a secret piece” He winked at her “Let’s just say… I’m doing this for my good friends” he smiled again

“Those smiles of yours never do any good” Amber sighed “Good friends, huh? Who are those unfortunate ones?”

“You’ll know. As soon as we can finish this”

“Why are you doing this? I know there’s a reason for that kind courtesy of yours”

“Maybe…” he hummed

“Spill it”

Henry smiled again “So that they’d owe me” he laughed “I’m a good friend”

Shit!

“Hey! Wait!” Kris chased after him as soon as Lu Han sprinted, lucky for his long legs. He immediately caught the deer by his wrists “I told you to wait, are you deaf or something”

“Let me go!” Lu Han struggled but it was hopeless, Kris just tightened his grip “please…”

“Not until you tell me why you’re avoiding me”

“I-I’m not!”

“Then why are you running away?!” Kris snapped

“…Kris”

“God, Lu Han! I don’t know what to do anymore!” his voice broke “You aren’t him and I’ve only met you but why do I feel like this only to you?!”

“K-Kris”

“You’ve been in my mind all the time so stop controlling my heart!” His tears suddenly fell “I can’t make everything right, Lu Han… he’s waiting for me, and still does .I know because I promised.”

It’s suffocating, I can’t breathe. “Stop…”

“But I just can’t help it even thought I know it’s wrong! I loved him and I still do”

“Stop”

“I’ve… already made up my mind”

I can’t take it anymore

Lu Han released himself from Kris’ grip and fled crying. Kris let him be as he sighed to himself.

“I’ve already fallen for you, so hard it hurts”

 

 

Lu Han ran as fast as he could until he can’t feel his legs anymore, he was led to a very familiar room

It’s always so warm

“So, what happened, Cinderella?” he was greeted by a familiar voice

“Henry…”

“Guess it didn’t go well?”

Lu Han shook his head “It’s not… even Amber”

“Of course it isn’t!” another familiar voice came “It’s disgusting”

Lu Han widened his eyes “Amber!” it the girl he’s been… sort of… jealous

“FYI, Kris is my cousin” she inhaled “or should I say… Yi Fan’s cousin”

“P-pardon?”

“I know you heard me right”

“B-but”

“Which does confuse you, the cousin part or the ‘Yi Fan’ part?”

“I-it can’t be”

“You are Xiao Lu. I knew you were since the first time I saw you” knowing Lu Han’s still processing, she continued “How did I know? Girls’ instincts” she smiled

“U-um… I’m s—“

“Now go”

“What?”

“Go get your prince, Cinderella. He’s also waiting”

“But he said he’s in love—“

“You two are really stupid! You just fell for each other all over again, dummy!”

Both amber and Henry kicked Lu Han out of the room “Now don’t dare to come back here unless you’ve settled everything. Goodbye!” and slammed the door right in front of his face.

Beeeeep!

The sound of his phone snapped him back to reality, it was a text message from Henry, he immediately opened it.

‘He’s at the chapel on the south wing, don’t ask why anymore’

Without further ado, Lu Han rushed towards the chapel till he reached the entrance. He wasn’t ready yet

What do I tell him?

What would he do if he knew the truth?

His hands were shaking as soon as he touched the door knob but not until someone opened it from the inside. His eyes widened as soon as he sees the person in front of him

“…Lu—“

I don’t care anymore

Lu Han pressed himself against Kris’ chest holding him tightly like there’s no end. Still confused, Kris hugged him back and leaned his head on the latter’s head, kissing him in the process. Lu Han smiled with the warmth of embrace returned by Kris

I miss you…

“Lu Han…”

Lu Han shook his head “…Call me… Xiao Lu, Yi Fan” his voice as soft as ever. He laced his arms around Kris and nuzzled his head on Kris’ neck

Much to Kris’ surprise, he couldn’t fathom the feeling he has right now “D-don’t tell me—“it’s seems so right

“I’ve been waiting, waiting too long” tears stream down Lu Han’s face and Kris could feel it wet his neck

“Look at me” he held Lu Han’s chin up and made him look at him in the eyes.

It was natural, no one objected. They both pressed their lips together and it was perfect. Both didn’t care about the world, they only cared about the reality in front of them. To be able to hold something real only proves it is real, their love is real. An abstract of reality.

They moved their lips, but no tongues included. Their kiss remained chaste and sweet but they didn’t care. They knotted their ties.

I love you…

As soon as their kiss broke, Kris wiped Lu Han’s cheeks from the trails of tears and kissed his right cheek “Come here”

He led them both to the isle, and to the altar. He pulled out his necklace which he retrieved from Henry and removed the ring in it

“Y-you” Lu Han was cut off immediately

“Remove yours too”

“W-why?” confusion never left his eyes

“Just do it” Kris smiled and Lu Han did as what he was told “I think it’s time to put them in their right places”

Lu Han’s eyes widened “But!”

“It doesn’t fit you, am I right?”

Lu Han nodded. It’s true, it was too loose for his ring finger no matter how long it has been

“That’s because it’s mine”

“What?”

“I gave you my ring, this is yours” he held out the ring for Lu Han to see “I exchanged it on purpose so that no one else could have these aside from us. It’s one of a kind”

Lu Han pouted, it wasn’t easy. He was tricked for ten years. “But you lost it”

Kris just smiled “But you found it, baby” he pecked Lu Han’s lips “It means fate brought us again together”

Lu Han blushed at Kris’ countering words and hit his man’s chest. Yeah, he’s beginning to like calling Kris ‘his’.

‘Mic test, hello? Good day, everyone’

A familiar voice echoed around the school through speakers, including the chapel

‘This is the student body president, Henry Lau. I know this is silly but I’m doing this for the sake of my two stupid friends that I know are listening to this. They’re probably thinking I’m an asshole because I guess I’m kinda ruining their moment right now *laughs*’

“He really has a good timing ruining moments” Lu Han laughed as Kris held him close

‘But oh well, I’m just doing this to congratulate them because I know very well they’re together now *laughs again* so enough with the talk, I hope you like this guys. Especially that I’m dedicating this song to you two”

“What song?” Lu Han looked up to ask Kris

Kris shrugged “I have no idea”

*guitar playing*

“It’s a new song!” Lu Han said surprisingly

“C’mon” Kris held Lu Han’s hand which was holding the ring and kissed his forehead “Let’s just put these babies in their rightful places ok?”

Lu Han nodded and took Kris’ finger then inserted his ring into it, Kris did the same and sealed it with a kiss on Lu Han’s hand

lol, okay. i'm sorry i've been dead for TOO long. apologies,,, apologies.... *bows*

anyways, i just wanna tell you smthng about this fic :) okay?

-I made this story when i was in my junior high years (exo hadn't debuted that time so it's not a krishan-based story)

-it's a shounen-ai story (haha, i like shounen-ai, ok? that's why japan is awesome XD)

-the same characters/personalities are used (the main characters w/c are both models, the twins, uncle and aunt, obsessed fans, etc)

-only Henry and Amber's appearance weren't based on the original (i just inserted them but look, THEY ACTUALLY HELD A BIG ROLE O.O)

-the original story is untitled. srsly, "Pair of tied rings" just came to my mind

-the latin encryption actually means what the last line of the story says. and on the main photo

-Henry's first song (piano and violin part) is "Trap" w/c was translated in English, 2nd is "1-4-3 (I Love You)" ft. Amber (really, it was just a mere coincidence when i was writing this. amber wasn't supposed to be an important character but... oh well :>

-not really, but i apologize if there are gramatical errors. i was being a lazy ass typing this last part and i could care less about grammars
