Big Bang's TOP and SNSD's Yoona Announced to Get Married!

It was announced this evening that Big Bang's power rapper is engaged to popular SNSD member, Im Yoona.  The whole media was sent into a storm when  rumors of Big Bang's TOP (Choi Seunghyun) had a love interest in Yoona.  Rumors had been circling around them about dating and love for the past six months. It had been revealed that they had been dating for three years now.

Confirmations from SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment had been made.  A representative from SM Entertainment stated, "Those two have been in a relationship for a few years now.  Only those working for SM and YG have known about this secret relationship and have successfully kept the secret for three years.  It's refreshing to know that they're finally tying the knot."  Reporters had asked for an authentication from YG Entertainment, and they confirmed the whole issue.  A YG Entertainment representative claimed, "We have known about their relationship for a while now.  A couple of years ago, we asked Seunghyun if he wanted to make his relationship with Yoona public, but he refused because he said that he didn't want to cause Yoona any trouble.  With the final stages of SNSD and Big Bang near, Seunghyun proposed to her.  He hopes that VIPs and SONEs everywhere will accept them."

The media had their eyes set on SNSD and Big Bang due to their sudden announcements of disbanding.  SNSD has been set to have their farewell concert on July 28 while Big Bang plans on giving their finale concert on August 7.  Yoona and Seunghyun have not spoken about the controversy yet, but a few members from SNSD and Big Bang have broken their silence over the issue.

SNSD's Sunny and Jessica asserted, "This whole relationship was made possible because of us.  We were the ones that hooked them up, and we're the ones that helped Yoona sneak out to go on secret dates with him!  It's great that they're getting married!  I want nieces and nephews soon!"

Big Bang's Seungri posted on his me2day, "So it's out now...TOP hyung is finally getting married!  Don't you guys think that I should be the best man?  He's making Daesung the best man. :( That's not fair because I'm more handsome.  I told them that I should be the best man because I'm the most handsome, but they told me to shut up before they demote me from groomsman to ring bearer.  Kyaah, topyoon fighting! ^__^"

Many fans have reacted through anger, disappointment, and happiness.  SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment had been offered a one hour special for SNSD's Yoona and Big Bang's TOP.  It was announced by both companies that Seunghyun and Yoona had agreed to do an interview over their decision to get married despite having the images of idols.  Tune in on MBC on January 30 for the full episode on the newly engaged couple.

Laughter filled the atmosphere as Yoona stared at the laptop screen.  Her eyes narrowed as she finished reading the news article.  They were fast.  The media was really fast.  Someone from SM had just contacted her that they had confirmed the whole relationship just a few minutes ago.  A news article about the both of them was already posted on a popular news site.  Yoona felt someone push her shoulder teasingly.

"So everyone knows!" Tiffany smiled, "How does it feel?  You're the first one to get married in the group."

It was hard to believe that she was getting married.  Yoona was almost 26, and she honestly thought in the past that she was going to remain single until her thirties.  Yoona smiled because she was surrounded by people she loved.  YG and SM had thrown them a celebration over their engagement.  Artists from CUBE, JYP, DSP, and other companies had arrived to congratulate the newly engaged couple.

"It feels great," Yoona finally said, "At least I don't have to hide my relationship with him anymore."

Yoona then felt someone grab her hand.  She had many people doing this to her.  When she had first received the ring, the SNSD members kept on grabbing her hand to get a closer look on her new engagement ring.

"Yah, the diamond on the ring is so big!" Hyuna squealed with delight.

Yoona looked at the group of women admiring her ring.  Seunghyun was very generous with the ring.  It was so grand that even Yang Hyun Suk's wife grew jealous over the beautiful ring.  Yoona laughed to herself as she glanced over at her ring.  It was a Harry Winston three stone platinum engagement ring.  She didn't even want to think about how much it had cost him.

"I'm so jealous!" Hara admitted, "I want to get married now!"

Yoona shifted in her seat as she tried to find a comfortable spot next to Seunghyun.  They were backstage room of the recording studio.  They were beginning their recording for the television special.  Seunghyun looked at the crowd of people from behind the curtain and found the SONEs and VIPs to be mixed in the same crowd.  He didn't think it was going to happen, but it did.  VIPs and SONEs were getting along.

The whole thing was supposed to be hosted by older, more experienced hosts, but the production crew decided that it was better off if members from SNSD and Big Bang hosted the event.  Seohyun, Jessica, Jiyong, and Daesung were the hosts for the event.

With a signal from the producer, the recording began.

"Hello, my name is Seohyun."

"Good evening, I am Jessica!"

"Hi, this is Jiyong."

"And my name is Daesung!"

"We will be your hosts for tonight," the four of them bowed in unison.

The crowd started to clap heavily as the four of them waved at the crowd.  With microphones in their hands, they began to speak about the whole engagement.  Jessica was dressed in a pink dress while Seohyun sported a white lace dress.  Jiyong and Daesung looked very handsome in their casual wear.  They had white long sleeves on with a pair of slacks.

"We will discuss about the process of Seunghyun and Yoona's relationship," Seohyun announced.

Jessica nodded, "Yes, in this show, Seunghyun and Yoona will answer questions regarding their first encounter, first date, and many other questions."

"We will go deep in Yoona's mind and find out what she loves about TOP hyung," Daesung added.

"And we will also find out what TOP hyung loves about Yoona.  We will discover the meaning of their relationship and when they plan on getting married," Jiyong smiled at the camera.

The lights to the studio began to flash a gold color for Seunghyun's entrance.  Seunghyun made his entrance as the crowd began to clap loudly.  Seunghyun waved at the crowd and flashed them a beautiful smile.

"Choi Seunghyun is 28 years old.  He is the main rapper of Big Bang with many solo songs under his belt.  He has been recognized as a great actor with many awards given to him," Seohyun introduced him.

The lights to the studio then began to flash a pink color for Yoona's entrance.  The crowd began to cheer as Yoona walked through curtains to wave at her fans.

"Im Yoona is 25 years old.  She is a lead dancer and a vocalist in SNSD.  She has been awarded numerous recognitions for her dramas.  She had participated in Love Rain, You Are My Destiny, and Cinderella Man," Daesung presented her.

Yoona bowed to the crowd and waved at them happily.  She honestly thought that they would display strong hate towards her for having a relationship with Seunghyun.  Seunghyun walked to Yoona's side and held her hand.  She smiled at him with her bright eyes as he grinned back at her.  The crowd went crazy after he held her hand.  They were mostly fangirls and fanboys crying at their loss.

Seohyun and Daesung led them to their seats.  Yoona wore a beautiful green dress while Seunghyun went with a black blazer with a pair of slacks.  Seunghyun put his arm around Yoona casually as they took their seats.  Seunghyun beamed to know that he could finally do that in public now.  He didn't have to hide their relationship in front of others others anymore.

"Hello everyone," Yoona introduced herself, "My name is Im Yoona.  I'm a member of SNSD."

"And my name is Choi Seunghyun," Seunghyun waved, "I am a rapper in Big Bang."

The crowd clapped as Jiyong handed a blanket that a staff member had given to him for Yoona.  Yoona bowed and used the blanket to cover her lap and legs.  An eager smile appeared on Daesung's face.  It was as if he wanted to start the interview more than Yoona and Seunghyun themselves.

"Let's get it started!  I'm so excited!" Daesung clapped.

"Oppa, it's as if you're the one that's getting married!" Seohyun joked.

Daesung replied, "It's just that I've been waiting for this moment for such a long time."

"Let's begin then!" Jiyong and Jessica said together.

Yoona and Seunghyun nodded in agreement as the four hosts began to look through their notes in front of them.  

"What was your relationship before you two got involved romantically?" Seohyun read from her card full of notes.

"Well, we weren't really that close.  The only interactions I would have with him was when I would bow to him whenever I'd see him in music shows.  Other than that, we had no interactions at all," Yoona admitted.

Jiyong questioned, "Then how did your relationship form?"

"We were friends back in 2010.  Jessica and Sunny forced Yoona to go clubbing with them, and I was coincidentally there with Jiyong and Seungri.  We became friends after that.  Our friendship got to the point where she would call me whenever she was troubled and I would go to her whenever something was on my mind.  We were like secret best friends," Seunghyun confessed.

Seunghyun decided to be honest in the interview.  As long as the question did not ruin Yoona or his image, he was going to be truthful.

Jessica smiled with confidence as the audience praised her for hooking them up.  She comedically took a bow as the crowd roared in laughter.  Daesung fished through the questions that were in his cards and found one interesting.

"Someone online asked this question:  Why didn't Seunghyun want to expose his relationship with Yoona?  Was he embarrassed?" Daesung said.

Yoona laughed as she covered with her hand.  Seunghyun blushed as they looked at each other in the eyes.  That question made Seunghyun seem like a jerk.  Yoona couldn't help but grin to know that Seunghyun grew a bit bothered by the question.

"Well, I was not embarrassed to announce that she was my girlfriend at that time.  I mean, why would I?  Yoona's very beautiful, loving, and and respectful.  The reason I did not want to announce that she was my girlfriend was because I didn't want her to have more anti-fans.  We live in a world with a lot of discrimination.  Based on my observations, when two celebrities announced a relationship, there would be more hate towards the female than the male.  It's very ist, but it's true.  I did not reveal the relationship because I wanted to protect Yoona.  I wanted her to be more safe," Seunghyun answered.

Yoona couldn't help but grin happily as Seunghyun took her hand into his and gently squeezed it.  He still gave her butterflies after knowing him personally for six years.  The first three years started off as a friendship, but she has always liked him.

"Yoona, when did your crush on Seunghyun begin?" Seohyun asked.

Jessica added teasingly, "Remember those times when..."

"Sica ah!" Yoona interrupted her.

Yoona grew defensive as she waved her hands out desperately.  Everyone burst into laughter to see Yoona's face turning red.  

"Don't bring anything up!" Yoona pleaded, "But I'll answer Seohyun's question...Hm...I started to like him when he started to court me."

"You're lying!  You liked him one year after you two became friends!" Jessica pointed a finger at her.

Seunghyun's eyes grew wide because he always thought that she had begun to like him after he showed an interest in her.  Yoona covered her face as Jessica began to reveal Yoona's secret.

"Well, she started her crush on him in 2011.  She would always wait for his phone calls.  She would love texting him and whenever SNSD was performing on the same event as Big Bang, she would try to look even prettier.  Whenever Big Bang wasn't present, she didn't give a care about her looks!" Jessica disclosed.

"Unnie," Yoona sighed in defeat.

"It's true!" Jessica giggled.

They continued on by seeing the reactions of many fans.  Through a large screen, they watched a few SONEs and VIPs express their emotions on their engagement.  Yoona and Seunghyun saw nothing but positive reactions.  They were sure that the production crew had edited any negative ones to save them from feeling dejected.  Then a message from the CEOs of YG and SM was shown.  Yang Hyun Suk wished the both of them a healthy marriage as they continue on with their careers.  Hyun Suk promised that he would be there for them if they ever needed him.  Lee Soo Man congratulated them on the engagement and hoped the best for them.  He joked around and claimed that Sunny wanted to be the godmother of their firstborn child.  Then, they went on commercial break.  When the intermission was over, Seunghyun and Yoona were bombarded with questions again.

"Seunghyun has been in the business for quite a while," Daesung read off his cue cards, "He has acted in numerous films and dramas.  In some of his works, he has had kissing scenes.  How do you feel about that, Yoona?"

Yoona laughed as she recalled all the kissing scenes that Seunghyun had been in.  When they started dating, Seunghyun became very cautious when he was scheduled a kiss scene.  He often tried to avoid it, but having lead roles didn't help.

"Well, it doesn't really bother me," Yoona truthfully revealed, "Just like him, I have a professional career in acting, so I have to do kissing scenes, too.  As long as there are no true emotions in the kissing, I will not be jealous."

Seunghyun vowed friskly, "Yoong, I promise to never have emotions when I'm kissing another woman if it's not you!"

"You better not be joking!" Yoona tauntingly pinched his cheek.

"Okay, on to the next question!" Jiyong declared, "Seunghyun hyung, how do you feel that the woman that you're getting married to is known as South Korea's ideal woman?  With many men declaring her as their ideal woman, how do you feel?  How do you feel about the scandals that she has had with other men?"

Seunghyun's eyes were wide open as he tried to process everything in his brain.  

"Well, it was all hard to absorb at first.  I'm getting married to one of Korea's most beautiful women.  I have to admit that I was a bit jealous at first when she was always picked by male celebrities as their ideal type.  When I found out that they even tried to get her number, I grew extremely envious, but then I remembered that I was her boyfriend and that she wouldn't give her number out to others with bad intentions," Seunghyun chuckled, "We got into a small argument and she reminded me I shouldn't worry about the others because she was already with me."

"How about her scandals?" Jiyong reminded him, "Which one bothered you the most?"

Seunghyun let out a deep laughter as he scratched the back of his neck.  He really didn't want to answer that question, but he knew that he had to.

"The scandal that bothered me the most had to be the scandal she had with 2pm's Ok Taecyeon," Seunghyun responded, "I think that this certain scandal bothered me the most because Seungri would always tease me and make it seem as if they were in love with each other or something.  It didn't help that they had a joint performance together.  I learned to get over it because Yoona is a very faithful woman."

"Okay we need to wrap up the interview soon.  Time is almost up," Jessica informed them, "Before we do that, we would like to give our surprise video to the engaged couple."

Yoona and Seunghyun grinned as they saw video clips from their closest friends.

The first clip showed Jaejoong and Hyun Joong.  A smile appeared on Seunghyun's face to see some of his closest on the screen.  He didn't get to see them as often as he would like because they were always busy, but they were still close through calls, texts, and webcamming sessions.

"Choi Seunghyun ah!" Jaejoong greeted, "You're getting married!  I'm still surprised that it was with Yoona.  Haha, just kidding, but I really do wish you the best.  Seunghyun, take good care of Yoona.  She's a really sweet woman.  And Yoona, don't nag at Seunghyun too much when Hyun Joong and I take him out!  I know that you'll love him unconditionally."

"Ah, it's such a blessing that one of my best friends is getting married to such a beautiful woman.  I know that you two have a bright future together.  Together, you two will be the envy of all idols and actresses.  You two have such a great relationship!" Hyun Joong waved.

The next clip took Yoona by surprise.  Yoona was very grateful that some of her friends had made time to record the video message.  In the video, Suzy, Fei, Uee, Hyuna, and Sandara were present.

"From Miss A to the both of you, we wish you the best!" Fei pumped her fist in the air.

"Unnie and oppa, you two have the fairytale relationship that all of us want.  We're all so jealous, but we really do wish you the best.  You two are perfect for each other!" Suzy added in.

Uee bowed her head, "I wish you two success and happiness in your marriage.  I know that you two will make a great married couple.  I wish you two the best!"

"I think everyone has already said what I wanted to say," Hyuna cheekily grinned, "You two will make the best looking couple and I'm sure that you two will make the best looking babies in the future.  Thank you two for being good role models to me.  I will try to find a relationship like the one that you two have."

"Oh my goodness!  I can't believe that our very own Tabi and Yoong is getting married!  I'm really glad that you two are finally tying the knot.  Everyone in 2ne1 has been waiting for this to happen.  From all of us in 2ne1, we would like to wish the both of you with great happiness and the best memories.  You two really do belong together."

The final clip had an enormous amount of people in it.  Seunghyun and Yoona's eyes scanned the screen and saw Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sunny, Taeyeon, Tiffany, Taeyang, and Seungri with goofy smiles on their faces.

"I would like to give my speech first," Taeyeon raised her hand, "I would like congratulate you two on the engagement.  As the leader of SNSD, I know Yoona very well.  She's very silly, funny, and comedic, but when she loves, she's passionate.  Seunghyun, please know that Yoona will love you forever.  She's very picky with men, and she will only commit herself to only one man."

Tiffany gave an eye smile, "I would also like to add my speech.  I'm very glad that you two are getting married.  You two are a very fun couple.  When you two are together, you guys are always smiling.  I can see it in your hearts that you both love each other no matter what.  You two are a match made in heaven."

"I guess it's my turn!" Yuri cheered, "Well, when you two got together, I already knew that you two would end up as husband and wife.  Yoona, you've been my roommate for the past decade or so; it feels a bit weird to know that you're replacing me!  Haha, I'm joking, but I'm hoping that you two stay together forever because you two just understand each other."

Sunny her lips, "This is a very emotional event for all of us.  Knowing that one of our sisters is getting married is a milestone because she is the first.  Seunghyun, I know that you'll treat her right because I can tell that you have a deep devotion for our choding.  Yoona, you better be a good wife!  Bring more honor in the name of SNSD!"

"Im Choding and Tabi!" Sooyoung giggled, "I just can't wait for your wedding!  I'm very excited about the whole thing.  Well, I would like to give a piece of advice.  The both of you have transformed into a beautiful man and woman.  In a world like this, there will be other criticizing you two as a married couple, but know that as long as you two are happy and give each other support, you are a perfect couple in the eyes of God."

"Now it's my turn!  Well, Seunghyun, I would like to warn you," Hyoyeon narrowed her eyes jokingly, "If you hurt our Yoong, you will be in trouble.  We know that she will take good care of you because she is a loving woman.  We hope that you two will continue on with your lives with love, passion, success, and faith.  I know that you two will become one of Korea's power couples!"

Seunghyun saw that it was his dongsaengs' turns to give their speeches for the couple.  Yoona leaned her head on his shoulder as they continued to view the video clips.

"As a friend, I would like to congratulate you two on your engagement.  You two have gone through many obstacles such as having to deal with the CEOs about your relationship, the anti-fans, and those long nights with arguments, but you two pushed through.  You two deserve each other.  If you guys need me, I'll be there anytime," Taeyang winked.

"Yes, it's finally my turn!" Seungri waved his hands in the air, "Well, first of all, I would like to congratulate you two on the great news. Even though Yoona obviously thinks I'm more attractive, she made a great choice in finding her husband.  Yoona ah, TOP hyung will take great care of you.  He will make you his queen.  And hyung, continue to love her.  I have never seen you act like this in my life, and it brings warmth to my heart to know that you'd give up anything for the woman you love."

The video came to an end as Yoona and Seunghyun flashed their smiles of happiness and gratefulness.  They had the greatest friends.

"Now it's time for our words," Daesung patted Seunghyun's shoulder.

"First of all, I would like to wish you two the best," Daesung continued, "When I first found out that you two were dating, I became a great supporter.  It's just amazing that you two are finally getting married.  Soon, our groups will be disbanding, but I know that we'll continue to be as close as ever.  I'll be the greatest best man ever.  I promise!"

"And I'm the maid of honor!" Jessica sang happily, "Even though the eight of us literally had to compete in staring contests to be your maid of honor, I would like to thank you for making me the maid of honor.  You two remind me of a fairytale couple.  Yoona is like the gorgeous princess and Seunghyun is like the charming prince.  I know that you two will have a bright future.  Your future will be filled with laughter, love, and happiness.  Continue to love each other without limits."

Seohyun bowed to the both of them, "As a dongsaeng, I would like to thank you two for giving me hope in love.  Seeing the both of you gives me hope that I will find happiness just like the both of you.  At first, I thought that the both of you was a little weird, but you two taught me that love is not based on the image but on what's in the heart.  I really appreciate everything that you two have taught me."

"I guess I get the final speech," Jiyong breathed, "As the leader of Big Bang, I'm quite nervous about this speech.  When hyung told me that he was going to propose to Yoona, I was really happy.  These two had been through thick and thin, but their love had been put on top.  I'm not the oldest in Big Bang because hyung is.  Hyung has given us the best advice and I'm very thankful for everything.  I know that these two love each other to the fullest and there isn't anything that can separate the both of them."

Yoona hugged every single one of them as Seunghyun embraced them with love.  Yoona and Seunghyun were very appreciative over the whole situation.  They thought that there would be more hate than love from their fans when they announced their marriage, but it didn't matter because all of the people that really cared about them would support them.

"To end this show, will you two announce your wedding date?" Seohyun smiled.

"The engagement party will be on November 3 and they wedding will be on December 7.  We hope that you guys will keep up with us and watch over us," Yoona announced.

"Thank you everyone for the endless support.  It brings joy to my heart to know that people support us," Seunghyun bowed with Yoona.

Yoona had moved into Seunghyun's villa after they had announced their engagement.  The show gave them good publicity.  Many of the anti-fans turned into TopYoon supporters.  Even though there were still anti-fans present, Seunghyun and Yoona decided to ignore them.  Yoona slipped into her pajamas and walked into the bedroom from the bathroom.  Seunghyun was reading a novel.  He took off his glasses and smiled as he saw his fiance enter the bedroom.  Yoona took the spot next to him and snuggled into his chest.  She loved being in his arms.  She heard him softly breathing as he kissed the top of her head.

"Jagiya, weren't you kind of nervous?" Yoona questioned.

He placed his novel and glasses on the bedside table and gently wrapped his arms around her.  She placed her head on his chest and heard his heart beating.  She smiled as she took in his scent.

"Why would I be nervous, darling?" he asked, "As long as you're on my side, I'm not afraid of anything.  I don't care if all of our fans begin to hate me.  You're the one that makes me happy.  I care about my fans, too, but I'm not getting married to them:  I'm getting married to you.  You're my top priority now."

Yoona cupped his cheeks with her hands and kissed him on his forehead.

"Oh, I love you so much," Yoona told him.

Seunghyun lifted up her chin and kissed her on the lips softly.

"But I love you more," he grinned with mischief.
