Despite the embarassment of the last Christmas, the new year was upon the pair and they were still going strong, showing their love in public- kissing each other passionately despite the stares and grabbing each other in broad daylight. Sehun and Luhan didn’t want the love to end but, sadly, it had to come. “I don’t want to go on without you, hyung. Why do you have to leave me?” Sehun whined sadly, grabbing his older boyfriend as the two walked silently through the campus, inhaling the sweet smelling spring air as they watched all the beauty of the upcoming summer.  “I’ve already outside my welcome here. I’ve already been here for too long- a year to long you know. I haver to go, Sehunni. And so do the others-Lay and Kyungsoo. You’ll be the only one left to look after things. I’m sorry,” Luhan apologized sincerely, looking his younger lover in the eyes as they halted under a shady oak tree that looked like it was going to die soon.  “But, can’t you stay for just one more year until I graduate too, Luhanni?” Sehun asked sweetly, melancholy creeping into his usually husky voice.  “You know that I can’t. I told you that I’ve already accepted another job. Don’t worry I’ll be nearby and I’m sure being a soccer player won’t be that stressful for me. I’m sure we’re gonna be able to see each other often in between practices. I promise you, I won’t leave you,” Luhan cooed, kissing Sehun lightly on the cheek, assuring him that everything would be ok as long as he could help it. He meant every word. Sure, becoming a soccer player was his dream-he had been working for it all his life and he had never stopped, even with dating Sehun, putting up with Suho, and running the college coffee shop- but he didn’t want it to get in the way of his other interests. He was going to try his hardest to make sure it never happened; he would stay with Sehun and make him happy no matter what.  “”I’m sorry,” Sehun stated sorrowfully, feeling as if he were a burden to his boyfriend.  “Ah, silly. What do you have to be sad about, sweet little Sehunni? Luhan chuckled as he cupped the younger’s face in his gentle hand, staring him straight in the eye longingly.  “I feel like I’m being a burden to you. I don’t want to get in the way of your dreams. I know how important soccer is to you. I’m really sorry,” Sehun muttered. “I’m really-” he was cut off short by Luhan’s supple lips gently grazing his own with honest longing. “What was that for?” Sehun stuttered once they parted the kiss, much to his disappointment.  “Don’t worry you little idiot. You’re not a burden. I promise.” Luhan smiled kindly, backing against the tree.  “Are you sure,” Sehun asked, still in disbelief.  “Of course. You’re so precious to me and even when I leave in a few weeks, I’ll still visit. I may be gone but I won’t ever leave you. You’re much too important to me,” Luhan assured, pulling Sehun closer to him to wrap him in a warm embrace. Neither wanted to let go. Neither wanted the end to come so soon. “Hey, Sehun, do you have something sharp on you?” Luhan asked randomly, whispering in the otheer’s ear as if he were whispering “I love you”.  “Uh, no,” Sehun thought quickly.  “Ah, that pen in your hair will work. Good thing we had a study session before we came out,” Luhan pointed out, whisking the blue pen tucked neatly behind Sehun’s ear and nestled in his hair that looked like it was the nest of a parrot instead.   “What are you going to do with that” Sehun asked as Luhan let go of him to turn towards the tree, pen poised, like a snake ready to strike.  “You’ll see, just wait a bit, Mr. Rush.” Sehun obeyed, waiting patiently, curiosity gnawing at him to discover what his lover was doing  “There,” Luhan stated happily, as if he were a painter happy with his work, stepping aside for the younger boy to see. “Do you like it?” Sehun froze, shocked and overcome with more rushes of love for his older boyfriend. Luhan was always so cheesey with his displays of affection but he knew this one would last for a while and he couldn’t stop the happiness from consuming him. He stood there, gaping at the crudely drawn heart with their names scribbled roughly in the aging bark of the wood.  “You’re so lame sometimes,” Sehun joked. Luhan looked disappointed.  “So, you don’t like it? I know that it’s not much, but why not?” Luhan pouted, hurt flashing across his face. “Who said that I didn’t like it?” Sehun smiled, his eyes squinting and cheeks round as he wrapped his arms around Luhan’s waist and rested his chin on his shoulder. “I love it, you dork. This is going to last a while,” Sehun cooed softly, his hot breath causing Luhan to shudder and stomach to flutter with butterflies. Although they had been dating for some time, Luhan always got butterflies and his brain always went blank with love whenever Sehun did something this adorable. He never got tired of the sweet backhugs or the softening of his husky voice in his ear.  “Of course it’ll last a while. As long as we love each other, this will be here, even if the tree dies. You have to believe that,” Luhan smiled. “I love you, Lulu,” Sehun whispered, kissing the older on the cheek, making the other blush wildly.  “I love you too. Don’t forget that.”       “Well, looks like this is the end. I’m sorry, Sehun. But don’t worry, me and Kyungsoo will always come back to visit. Just don’t change dorms on us. We’re stalkers,” Lay joked, nudging Sehun playfully with his arm. This was their last day in the shop-graduation was tomorrow and they were planning to walk across stage in the bright summer. The few weeks had come and gone and this was the end. “Yeah, don’t worry, I’ll come back and I can cook you all a good meal. Promis,” Kyungsoo piped up as he, Lay and Luhan was tidying up the store, ready for departure.  “See, we’ll all still be together,” Luhan shot Sehun a smile as he packed up a framed picture of them that he displayed proudly
