Chapter 1 Final
The day you left me“Let’s break up…..”Kai said and sighed as he look at me.
I froze. ”What? we’ve been together for 2 years and we have gone through all pain together and had sweet memories and now you want to remove all of that?!”I asked as disappointment showed in my eyes.
“We always fight and I’m tired.” Kai said.
“Fine! If that’s what you want…I’m also tired of fighting with you….Lets just break up…”I said as tears streamed down.
“Thank you for loving me all this time….bye.” I said and ran away from him.
“Mianhae, Minri ah…I had to do this if not you will hurt even more.” Kai said as tears falls down profusely.
Then, I ran back home.
“Minri?! What happen? Gwenchana?” Hyorin asked.
“We………….break up….”I said as I cried even more.
“Shhhh…. Gwenchana…”Hyorin pat her back and bring her to her room.
“Uljima~ Minri ah…”Hyorin said and sighed.
Then,she left Minri’s oom to give her some space.
“How could he….”I said but came out as a whispered.
Then,I cried to sleep.
The next day,I wake up and wash up,getting ready to take our report books.
I put extra make up to cover my swollen eyes.
“Im Minri! Aja aja hwaiting!!”I said to myself before going out from my room.
“Kaja.”I said to Hyorin.
Then,we went to our school and took our report book.
“Wah~ our study time all has been paid off!”Hyorin said and smile.
“You almost beat me on all of the subjects.”Hyorin said and pout.
“Eyyy~ you should study harder to beat me.hehe”I joke and stuck out my tongue.
As we were going out from the school compound,we saw Kai and his friends.
“Hyorin ah! Minri ah!”Baekhyun shout and ran to us.
“Oh! Annyeong!”Hyorin greeted happily.
“How’s your result?”He asked.
“Its great!”Hyorin answered happily.
"She almost beat me on all of the subjects."Hyorin pouted.
Then,Baekhyun piched her cheeks."Aigoo so cute."
I smile at their lovey dovey moment.
*I'm proud of you Minri ah.*Kai thought as he smile a bit.
Then,I look around and saw Kai.
We look at each other then he look away.
My heart clench.He didn't even spare a second look.
"Hyorin...kaja."I said.
"Bye baekhyun text you later."Hyorin said and wave.I smile weakly at him and we walked away.
"You really like him don't you?"I chuckle.
"Yeah~ he's cute and nice."Hyorin squel.
I just shook my head and smile bitterly.
*I should move on....*I sighed.
2 years later.....
"You should rest and don't move a lot."I advise my patient and smile.
"Nae noona."A cute boy said and smile showing his eyesmile.
"Good boy."I ruffle his hair and then went out from his ward.
Now,i'm a doctor while Hyorin is a Teacher in a university.
Hyorin has a boyfriend now which is Baekhyun.He confess to her on her birthday last year.They are so sweet.
Kai.....i haven't heard about him.The last time i know he went to america.
I still coudn't get over him.He left a big impact on me....
"Minri ah~!!!!"Hyorin said as she enter my room.
"Oh! Hyorin ah!"I said and smile.
"Watcha doing?"She asked.
"Nothing~ just browsing some patients file."I answered.
"Are you free today?"Hyorin asked.
"Yeah.I;m free.Wae?"I asked.
"Remember Suho,D.O,Sehun and Chanyeol? Baekhyun and Kai's friend?"She asked.
As soon as I heard his name,my heart sink.
"Ye-yeah.What's wrong with them?"I asked hesistedly.
"They want to meet you.Its something important."Hyorin said and she hold my hand.
"Will Kai be there?"I asked.
"I don't think so."She said.
"O-okay.I meet them at ****** restaurant. 8pm."I said.
"Okie dokie."She answered and smile.
"Gotta go.See ya later kiddo."She said and left.
*Why do i feel uneasy? is something wrong?*I thought but shrugged it off and concentrate on my work.
At ****** restaurant.
"How will her reaction be...I'm worried."D.O said and sighed.
"She's a strong girl."Suho reply.
"Oh! she has arrive."Sehun said.
"Hello~ sorry i'm late."I said and smile.
"Minri ah...we have something to tell you."Chanyeol said seriously.
I started to feel uneasy at their seriousness especially when Chanyeol is.
"Why?"I asked.
"Its about Kai."Sehun said.
"Whats wrong with him?"I asked,panic.
"He is in hospital. He is sick and had medicine with him all this time to keep him alive but his sickness is getting serious."Suho said.
"He left you because he doesn't want to hurt you or making you sad when he gone.He thinks that letting you go is the best solution so that you can forget about him but i
guess he is wrong.True love cannot forget about each other easily i think."D.O said as tears streamed down my face.
"Where is he right now? I want to see him."I said and look at them.
"He's in Seoul hospital right now."Suho said and then I get up and walk to the exit.
"Let us send you."D.O said as the boys follow me.
We walked to their car and Suho drove quickly.
As soon as we arrived in the hospital we quickly went to his ward.
From outside,I saw his pale and lifeless face.There are tubes connect to his body.
I walked in slowly to him.
"Jongin ah.... Pabo!"I said as tears keeps falling down.
"You should have told me.Pabo pabo pabo!"I said and then sit down on the floor as I felt like my energy has been taken immediately.
"Minri?"He asked and look at me.
"Yes? Its me,Jongin."I said and hold his hands.
He smile as he my cheek lovingly.
"I miss you...."He said as his eyes getting teary.
"Me too...I miss you too..."I said and hold his hand tighter.
"Pabo!"I said to him and he look shocked.
"You could just tell me than breaking up."I said angrily.
"Well,i thing its for the best.."He answered.
"Nope that is definately not."I retorted and rolled my eyes.
"Sorry...."He said guiltily.
"Never mind...but you own me."I said seriously.
"How should i pay you?"He asked.
"By stay strong as I search for medicine to cure you."I said lovingly and stoked his cheek.
"I can't.Maybe i can die in a few weeks or days or even hours."He said.
"NO! You can't.you own me."I said and pout.
"Ok ok.I try for my sweetheart."Kai said and smile.
Then,I kiss his lips.
*How much I miss this.*Both of them thought.
"Saranghae."Kai said and smile.
"Nado saranghae."I answered and peck his lips again.
"You should rest.I will see you tomorrow ok? Its getting late."I said and kiss his forehead.
He then grab my wrist and pout.
I smile and kiss his pouty lips.
"Sleep.Rest."I said strickly.
"You have become strict when you become a doctor now."He said sulkily.
"Eh how did you know?"I asked curiously.
"Well,i send a spy.I know your routine.7.50am you will get out from your house and arrive around 8.30. 12PM lunch. 7.15pm to 7.35 you will get out from the
hospital.You will arrive home around 8.20pm to 9.You always took gooooood care of your patients and a bit strict."He said your all day routine.
"Yah! stalker!"I said and chuckle but inside i felt so happy.
"I'm your one and only stalker doctor."He said sweetly which makes your heart skip a beat.
"Sleep."I said and a good night kiss.
"See ya tomorrow."I said and went out from his room.
"How's he?"The rest asked.
"He's okay.I'm going to transfer him to my hospital so that I can look over him and I will search medicine to cure him."I explained to them.
They nodded and smile.
I went to the counter and asked for his doctor.
I discuss with his doctor and he allow me.He give me Kai's files with his health.
I thanked him and went home.
I starts doing research and think for a cure.
I look through his files and found out that his blood circulation is not good and he has other serious sickness.After hours of researching,i decided to sleep.
The next day,I went to the hospital and discuss this with other professional doctors.
We discuss and always check on his conditions.
"Hello baby~~ how are you?"I asked and peck his lips.
"I'm good."He said and smile weakly.
"I have been discussing about this with other professional doctors so maybe you will be normal again~!"I said happily.
"Thats great but you shoudn't have to workhard for me.I could just die."He said.
"Ya!"I slap his hands.
"Ow. okok sorry."He said and show his puppy eyes.
"Aish!"I said.
"My girlfriend is so sensitive."He said and piched my cheek.
"Have you eat?"I asked.
"Yeah.Its kinda boring here.I wish we could go shopping together or went to the beach and spend our time together."He said and sighed.
My eyes getting teary.
"You should rest."I said and kiss his forehead.
"Gotta go i visit you again soon.and your friends will come soon."I said and smile and he pout.
"Stay with me."He said childishly.
"Aigoo~ I accompany you till your friend come,okay?"I asked and he shook his head.
"Then,i go now?"I .
"Yah! no! okok until my friend come."He said quickly.
I smile and sit beside him.Then,we talked about the past.We talked from the first day,we saw each other to friends to his confession.
Its all has sweet and bitter moment but i'm glad we had gone through all of that together.
"Haha i still remembered it."I said and laughed as i remember him slip and fall down.
"Ya!"He pout but then laughed with me.
"Hey wassup."Chanyeol came happily.
"Aish! why are you so early?"Kai asked.
"Jongin.."I warned and smile at his friends.
"He is just being childish."I said to his friend.
"Only you can make me turn in this."Kai said.
"What wong with him?"D.O asked.
"Oh! I said i will accompany him until you guys come and now you guys have come i have to go."I explain to them and they nod.
"Bye Jongin~"I said sweetly and peck his lips.
"Bye baby~"He replied and went out from his ward room.
I went back to my room and finish my work.
At 6pm,i had a meeting with the professional doctors again.
"How's his condition?"I asked nervously.
"Still the same."Doctor Luhan said.
"I don't think he can stay long.He have endure this pain for a long time."Doctor Lay said and sighed.
"But he can still live right? He can be cure right?!"I asked.
"I don't know.Its 20-80%"Doctor Kris said.
"He needs to be cure.We need to find some ways."I said,still stick to my decision.
"Alright.We'll try,doctor Minri."Doctor Tao said and then they all went out from the meeting room.
I sighed."He can't leave me."I said and a tear slid down.
"Minri?"A voice interupt and give me a tissue.
"Oh.Thanks Chen."I said and wipe my tears.
"He will be okay."He patted my shoulders.
I nodded and smile weakly.
"Go and accompany him."Chen said and smile.
"Thanks chen."I said and walked out from the room.
"He can't stay any longer,minri."Chen said and sighed.
"Jongin ah~~"I sang as I enter his room.
"Oh! he's asleep."I whispered and came nearer to him.
I trace his face from his eyes to his lips.
I sighed.It just.....its so hurt looking at you like this.
I his hair lovingly and admire his perfect features.
I stay for a few minutes and tresure this moment.
Then,I kiss his forehead and went out from his room.
I went in my office and continue searching for medicine for his disease.
As I was working,my eyes felt so heavy.
"Umm...I'm so sleepy."I said and rest my head on my palm and force my eyes open.
Then,I fell a sleep and had a dream.
"Jongin?"I asked as I saw him sitting under special tree that we always webt ther and thats the first time i met him.
"hi~"He said and peck my lips.
"What are you doing here?"I asked,confuse.
"Minri....under this tree,we did so many things together and had many good memories here.So,if you miss me,come here.I want to spend more time with you but I can't.Forgive me for hurting you and I'm sorry I had to leave."Kai said as a tear slid down my face.
"Uljima~ I want to see your smile before I gone."Kai said as he wipe my tear.
I smile and nodded.
"But what do you mean by leaving?"I asked.
He just smile and give me a long sweet kiss and i reply it.
"Bye sweetheart."He said and he disappeared.
"Doctor Minri! Doctor!!"Chen woke me up.
"Uh? whats wrong?"I asked,sleepily.
"Kai!! he's in critical condition.We have transfer him to emerngency room.Come quickly."Chen said and I was wide awake and panic.
I ran to the emergency room and check on him.
"We need to do this fast!!" I said and look at the other doctors as they nodded.
I wore my gloves and mask and doing my best to save his life.
*Please,don't leave me.I know what that dream means.Please don't go.*I pray.
I keep on sweating profusely.
*Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit*
I gasped.
I try again and give more oxygen but its no use.
"He's gone....."I said as my eyes gets teary.
Doctor Chen took off my gloves and bring me outside.
"He leave me."I said and cry.
"I should have gone to him ealier!!!"I said and hits myself many times.It hurts but not as much as my heart.
"Minri! Minri! Calm down! Hw wouldn't like to see you like this."Chen said as he hold my hand.
"I don't care! I want him back alive!!"I said loudly as tears keeps coming out.
"Minri......"Chen sighed.
"Leave me alone.I need some time alone."I said.
Then,he left me.
"Kai.....Jongin.....you owned me.....Why do you have to leave me?"I sobbed uncontrolly.
"Minri..."A familiar voice called.
"Jongin?"I looked up and saw Kai smiling.
"Kai!!"I hugged him and he hugged me back.
"Don't cry..."He wiped my tears.
"Don't leave me..."I begged him.
"I can't....its time for me to go....Mianhae."He said and look at me straight into my eyes.
I touch his face and look at him.
Then,he leaned in and I close my eyes.
We shared a last long kiss.
"Saranghae Minri ah my sweatheart... and please move on.."He said before disappeared.
"Jongin!!"I shouted and collapse on the floor,crying my hearts out.
"Minri minri!! Gwenchana?!"Suho asked worriedly.
I stand up with the help of Suho and walked in Kai's room to see him for the last time.
"Nado saranghae."I said and kissed his forehead for a last time.
I prepare his funeral and invite his close friends.
He doesn't have family members because they all died on a car accident,only Kai the one that survive.
"Goodbye,Kim Jongin.Saranghae."I said and leave his grave.
Then,I went to our tree and sat under it.
"22 june,The day you left me is the same day as you break up with me."I said and sighed.
Soon,its raining.Its was raining cats and dogs but luckily there's no thunder.
I continue sitting under the tree.I didn't care how wet am I.I just need to calm myself and accept the fate.
"Urmm,Miss can I sit here?"A brown guy asked.
"Yes."I nodded.
"Thanks."He said and look at me.
Then,he cover me with his jacket and our faces were so close.
I look at him and my eyes widen.
"Jongin?!!"
