Jessica's POV

I was waiting for Luhan to call since the last incident happened. I know it's unfair but what can I do? That is a big opportunity for me, I've been waiting it for years.

*ring ring*

My phone rang, and I am expecting it to be Luhan but when I looked at the screen, I was so disappointed to see the caller.

Yunho Oppa calling....

Phone Convo:

'Yah! Jung Sooyeon! Where are the papers that I assigned you to review?'

'Uhh..Sorry.'

'Goodness! You have to be punished young woman!' He said before ending the call

I went downstairs after the call and saw Jason talking to my Mom.

"Hey! It's too early for you to frown like that, you'll age early."

"Stop teasing me." I rolled my eyes at him and hugged my Mom

"Morning Mom."

"Morning sweety."

"Where's the twins?"

"They're playing at the garden. Eat your breakfast, we're finish.

"Alrght." I went to the kitchen and I was followed by Jason

"Did he called you?" I shook my head

"Did you call him?"

"He doesn't answer."

"It's your faul-"

"I know, I know. Stop reminding it. He's angry because of me."

'That's right!"

"I hate you." I said before leaving him

"Miss!" Our maid shouted

"Yes?" I asked

"Someone wants to see you."

I went out to see, I saw a man

"What do you need?"

"Sir Luhan wants to see you." hearing the guy say his name shocked me

So he's trying to make -up with me now?

"Luhan?"

"Yes ma'am. And he wants to see the kids."

"Why didn't he called me?"

"It must be a surprise."

"Alright. We'll just change clothes."

After we changed clothes, we went out but I stopped when I saw a black car which is not Luhan's

"Wait! That is... Who are you!"

"LUHAAAAAAAAAAN!" then I heard a loud bang behind me

"MOMMY!" I heard Brent's voice and another bang before everything went black

4 days after

I tried to move but then pain is felt all over my body.

Once I deemed my self awake, I opened my eyes.

Why is everything white?

Just then someone move beside me. I turn to the side and saw Luhan

"You're awake."

"What happened?"

"Wait. I'll just call the doctor."

He went out for a moment and came back with Xiumin and his Mom, which is a doctor and my Mom.

"Jess!" My mom hugged me

"We were so worried about you but thank God you're awake now."

"Auntie, is she fine now?" Luhan asked Xiumin's mom

She smiled. "Don't worry, she's fine now. She just need to rest so the wound would heal faster and after that, she can go home but still needs to take medications for the fast recovery."

After that discussion, the doctor went out and Luhan and my Mom is still with me. After minutes, the door opened and there is Taeyeon with Bailey.

"Mommy!"

"Baby.." Luhan carried her and she hugged me

"I'm so glad you're up. Are you fine now?"

"Very fine." I smiled as I hug her again.

"Jessie..." Taeyeon whispered and hugged me

"Thank God you're awake. Everyone here was crazily worried about you especially Lu-" Luhan shot her a glare "Ahh...hahaha..as I was saying, I'm very happy that you're awake now."

"Thank you." I smiled at her and then looked at Luhan

"What happened with me? Well I only remember a guy."

"Well, it happened that they used my name to trick you so you'll
come with them."

"And I believed."

"Ah! But why are you there?" I continued

"And that day, I went there to talk to you but I saw them and they shot you."

"Ah, is that so.. Where is Brent?"

"I heard him calling me before I black out. Where is he?" they exchanged looks which made my heart thump badly

"Ahm, Jess.. I think we should go out for a while, Bailey and I are both hungry, right baby?"

"Wait! I'll go with you." My mom said

"Where is he?" I asked him

"Jess listen.." He tried to hold my hand but I refused

"No! Not until you tell me where Brent is!"

"Please, stop overthinking. You're not yet fully recovered."

"I don't care! WHERE IS HE?!"

"Jess.."

"TELL ME!"

"The next room...."

"WHAT?! WHY?!"

"Let's just talk about it later... Eat-"

"STOP CHANGING THE GODDAMN TOPIC, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?!"

"Jess, please calm down.."

"Then tell me straightly that he is fine."

"He's..." he pause as he hug me

"Tell me.." I whispered

"He's still unconscious..."

"What happened?"

"He...... also has a gunshot.." I felt a warm water dripping from my eyes

"And up till now, he is still asleep.."

"I want to see him.."

"But-"

"I WANT TO SEE HIM."

We went to the room beside mine and look at his state. Tubes and needles are attached to him which I don't like.

I sat beside him and started crying

LUHAN's POV

I stood by the door frozen, unable to say anything. Watching her mother comfort her because of the pain I cause and seeing Brent in his state breaks me into pieces.  This is all my fault. If it wasn't because of Jiyong, none of these would have happened.

I took a deep breath as I look up the ceiling to stop my tears from falling down.

With a one last breath, I walk out of the room.

I closed the door quietly and leaned on the wall while staring at he empty wall infront of me.

This is shattering me.

It should've been me.
