Daehyun stared blankly at the wall in front of him, nodding periodically and adding in a “uh-huh” and “of course” for good measure any time he heard a pause that was more than two seconds, because honestly, how else was one supposed to deal with the nagging Umma-like tornado that was Himchan?

“Okay, so I left the emergency numbers on the fridge if you need to call anyone…”

“Uh-huh.”

“And he knows what he’s allergic too, but he might not tell you when you cook dinner so, I put that listen on the fridge too…”

“Okay.”

“You already have my number and seriously, I will come right back home if you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to call me for anything, even if it seems stupid, Daehyun are you even paying attention to me?”

“Of course!”

“Then what did I just say?”

“Daehyun, are you even paying attention to me?” Daehyun smirked as Himchan turned red, his eyes narrowing. “Hey look, Yongguk hyung is here… Himchan hyung, this isn’t the first time I’ve babysat. I do it for Yongguk hyung all the time when his cousins  are in town, and they love me!”

Himchan rolled his eyes, “Jongup and Zelo love everyone, especially those who give them candy, speaking of which, Youngjae is not to have candy past 8 o’clock… and if he has any during the day, make sure he brushes his teeth, okay?”

“Geez, got this kid on a leash much?”

Himchan narrowed his eyes again, “He’s my baby brother, Jung. You had better take care of him, or I swear to god, I will beat the Busan right out of you.”

Daehyun held up his hands in surrender, “Yessir. But seriously. Hyung is here, you need to go! You two have fun okay…” He led Himchan to the door, shooing him out, “And don’t forget protection!!”
