allkpop News: SM Entertainment Announces New Girl Group

Yes, the rumors are true. SM Entertainment finally announced the debut of their newest girl group. President and Chairman of the company, Lee Soo Man sat down with allkpop to give us the official news and info of this well anticipated group.

“Yes, there will be a new girl group debuting this year as EXO’s sister group,” Lee Soo Man states. “And they will not be split into two subgroups debuting in two different countries.” He soon clarifies.

The big boss of SM Entertainment also tells us some important information about these new princesses of the Kpop world.

“There name will be Diamond and their concept and look will consist of mature sophisticated goddesses. There will be a total of eight members, all with their own style and personality, ready to show the world their charm and charisma.”

He also said that their debut song will be called “The Boys” and will debut on November 30th on Inkigayo and they will have a reality show to show the group behind the scenes as they prepair for debut and adjusting to the life of an idol.

SM just released Diamond’s first video teasers for “The Boys" on Friday, October 18th.

Many of their sunbaes and labelmates have commented on Diamond's arrival.

From what we can tell, these girls will be the perfect addition to the SM family and our hearts.
