(A/N: Thank you everyone for your support!!! This is where Woo Young and Ji Eun/IU meet for the first time. I'm making Woo Young a middle child in this fic. Kekeke.)

"Hyung. Hyung! HYUNG!"

Woo Young Jang jerked out of his beanbag chair, toppling to the carpeted floor of his bedroom in a clumsy heap.

"Ow!"

"Finally." Sun Woo Jang, younger brother extraordinaire, rolled his eyes. "It only took, like, forever."

"Ya! Sun Woo, couldn't you see I was busy?!" Woo Young yanked his iPod headphones out of his ears. "I'm trying to think up a different dance routine."

"Another one?" Sun Woo plopped down on Woo Young's bed. "Hyung. This has got to be your, I dunno, billionth routine? Why on earth are you so concerned about this audition?"

Woo Young sighed. "I really like the idea behind this drama, and I can relate to the character, and I can dance and sing, and... I just want to do well in the audition."

"Really?" Sun Woo eyed his older brother beneath unkempt locks of black hair. "It's not because of that independant singer girl? What was her name... Ji Eun?"

"Ya!"

Sun Woo leapt to his feet. "Man! Hyung, after all that chiding about how futile celebrity crushes are, you go off and get one yourself?" And he raced out the door before he could be suitably punished by Woo Young.

Woo Young gritted his teeth. "She's not a celebrity. Not yet."

Ji Eun wearily rose from the concrete floor, every bone aching from last night's escapade. Weeks before the mission, she had made sure to investigate every feature of the mansion; she had come across the key piece of information that there was a gigantic pool on the east side of the mansion.

Very useful when one had to jump out of a window a hundred feet up.

The dive had been clean, flawless, but the force had still taxed her strength. She'd barely been able to drag herself to the basement of the nearest house before passing out cold.

Hence why she had ended up sleeping on concrete and not her comfortable bed at home.

"Hey, are you okay?"

Ji Eun turned her bleary gaze to the source of the voice. It was a boy, around her age, with shaggy black hair and a strong build. It took her a few minutes to realize that he wasn't speaking to her, but the wall—and in English, nonetheless.

"Hey, are you okay? Hey, are you okay? Hey are you okay? Curses, hyung! Why is English so hard to speak? I should've been born American! Hey, are you okay? Hey, are you okay?"

"You pronounce the r's like l's. It should be like this: Hey, are you okay?"

The boy swiveled on his heel, searching for the speaker. "Wh-who's there?"

"Your worst nightmare," Ji Eun hissed in English, barely holding back giggles.

The boy snatched the nearest object—a garden rake. "B-b-beware!" he yelped. "I... I'm a-a-armed! I have a... I have a g-g-garden rake!"

Ji Eun drew herself to her feet; an explosion of pain raced up her right leg. "Just joking. Think about it. Why would your worst nightmare help you with English?"

The rake dropped from the boy's hands, clattering against the cement below. "Y-you're bleeding! And you're... you're... Oh my word. You're Ji Eun."

"Yeah," Ji Eun said. Bleeding? I must have crawled into a thorn bush...

The boy recovered his senses quickly. "Okay. I have no clue what you're doing bleeding in my basement, but you need some treatment now. Stay here. I'll get hyung. He's a whiz when it comes to first aid. Stay here, okay?" And he bolted up a flight of stairs, fast as lightning.

"Hyunghyunghyunghyunghyunghyunghyunghyunghyuuuuuuung!"

Woo Young watched with thinly veiled amusement as Sun Woo crashed into the wall, then the desk, then the bed, and then another wall. "What is it, Sun Woo?" he asked calmly, pausing his iPod. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Sun Woo collapsed to the ground, chest heaving for air. "Jieunisbleedinginourbasementandshemightbedying."

"What?"

Sun Woo squeezed his eyes shut. "Ji Eun... basement... bleeding... might be... dying," he gasped.

Woo Young stared. "Ji Eun? The singer?"

Sun Woo nodded fiercely. "I swear... I'm not kidding!... She's hurt... real hurt... bleeding... go help... first aid kit..."

"Sun Woo. If this is your idea of a joke, I'm not very amused."

Sun Woo sat up, eyes blazing. "You'd think I'd joke about something this serious?! Ji Eun the singer is in our basement and she's bleeding to death! Why would I be joking?!"

Woo Young examined Sun Woo's face for a sign, any sign, of a practical joke—but there was nothing; nothing except plain, stark sincerity. "You're serious?"

"YES. Now go!"

The urgency in Sun Woo's tone was so genuine that Woo Young found himself sprinting down to the basement, almost as if a well-known indie singer was bleeding to death in his basement.

Then again, one was.

When Ji Eun woke up, the first thing she saw was the face of a boy. It was a different face than the one that had been practicing English down in the basement; regardless, this was a very, very handsome face, and she didn't mind it at all.

"You feeling okay?" the face asked.

was parched, her muscles were sore, her skin was raw, her bones ached, her eyes were dry, and she felt exhausted enough to die.

"Yeah," she said.

Her mind started to turn its rusty cogs, asking where on this good earth was she and why she was in a boy's bedroom.

"You don't look okay," the boy said.

"Been worse," she replied.

The boy took a glass of ice water from his nightstand. "You lost a bit of blood," he said. "Drink this."

She did—all in one sitting. "Thanks."

"No problem," he said.

She settled back into the bed; the featherdown mattress was heaven on her beaten body. "So... um... what's your name?" she asked timidly.

"Woo Young," the boy replied. "And... you're really the singer Ji Eun, aren't you?"

Ji Eun blinked. "Yes, but... how did you know? I'm not very famous."

Woo Young grinned sheepishly, absently scratching the back of his head. "Err, to be honest... my brother and I are both big fans of yours."

"Oh," Ji Eun said. "Then, ah... Thank you very much for supporting me. Your little brother... was the one in the basement, right? Practicing English?"

Woo Young sighed in exasperation. "English? You're sure?"

Ji Eun nodded, question evident on her face.

"I told him to give up on Taylor Swift, but..." Woo Young grimaced. "It must've been after that comment on the audition..."

Ji Eun blinked. "Audition?"

"Oh, uh, yeah. You were requested for that drama, right? Dream High?" Woo Young leaned forward. "They're calling a closed audition for Jason's part. I got invited."

"Oh! That's wonderful," Ji Eun said. "Maybe we'll get to work together!"

Woo Young smiled. "Yeah. To be honest, if I get the role, I'll probably request for a loveline wi—"

BAM.

The door flung open; in sprinted Sun Woo, gasping for breath.

"Hyung!" he yelled. "Mom and Dad saw the blood in the basement and they're coming upstairs to look for an explanation and I don't know what to do and they'll kill Ji Eun if they see her 'cause she's in your bed and they'll kill me because I told them that we were just sparring and it was an accident but they said there was way too much blood for that—"

"Mom and Dad are coming here?!" Woo Young exclaimed, leaping to his feet.

Sun Woo nodded furiously. "What do we do, hyung?!" he moaned. "There's nowhere to hide Ji Eun! Except in the closet, but they've learned to check there by now..."

Woo Young gave a pained expression. "I don't know..."

"Rule Number 2: Always hide in plain sight. It's the last place people will look."

Ji Eun smiled. "I think I have an idea."

Chapter Three Preview:

Why did Woo Young have a girl in his room?!

This unexplained phenomenon shocked Woo Young's father greatly; he could do no more than stare at this pretty little creature who was looking about his son's room as if it were the most fascinating thing she'd ever seen in her life.

"Woo Young Jang!"

The father expected Woo Young to whip around, shove the girl behind his back, and say, "There's absolutely no one besides Sun Woo and I in this room!" as he had countless times before, but he only turned easily with a smile. "Yeah, Dad?"

Chapter 11: Omg, this is amazing! Omg, such a fantastic plot, and so well written. I'm acc so glad i found this story, especially since it features the milky couple.

It really breaks the cliche of boy meets girl and falls in love. Not only that, but IU is not sweet and innocent for once which is actually a nice change. Wooyoungs character seems pretty realistic, so laid back and stuff... This is such a good idea, im just here fangirling. The way he treats Jieun is so cute, and the fact he had a crush on her before they even met is interesting...

I really wanna see where this is going... Wondering who agent SR is, gotta few theories but they could just they've too far out xD... and I think I understand what is meant by 'take care of her', just hoping im wrong... Wooyoungs a spy right? Seriously love this, and I see you haven't updated in a few months... I'm really hoping U update soon, im loving this so far, and by the looks of it, im not the only one!

Chapter 11: Alright, So first things first: Director Lee, I know you have a tight filming schedule and what not, but Y U NO appreciate WooU's cute off-camera skinship? Especially when Wooyoung was about to discover IU's ultimate secret weapon? Buzzkill. *sighs*

So... Agent SR is part of the crew, but not one of the actors? Phew! For a second, I thought it was Kim Soohyun or Taec or that guy who plays Teacher Kang (thx, Google!) and that would have made me a little sad because I don’t really like Agent SR (the whole having to kill our heroine just makes me hate him a little bit)...
If you want to grant me a wish, then PLEASE don’t kill off Secretary BC! I simply love her too much!
And I know it sounds pretty ridiculous but I keep having Wooyoung-trust-issues. He is freaking nice and adorable, so I feel like an awful person to doubt him, but - something is just off...? On a happier note, I love Jieun's and Woo's adorable scenes and their awkwardness (the hot-costume scene was too cute!) You really capture the feel of their Dream High interactions well and the scenes really warm my poor, delusional shipper-heart. <3
PS.: ...You said there would be a new chapter in "a few days", so I figured the new chapter would come on WED or something and I wasn't emotionally ready for this yet, so I'm sorry if my comment isn't as insane as they usually come.
Also, I'm really bad at making predictions when it comes to crime and mystery-plots, so if I'm talking complete nonsense, I apologize. I'm not acting stupid, I'm really than dense. xD
BTW, I love, love, love the new poster! And the slightly new title is great, too.^^ And THANK YOU<3 so much for the dedication, but that wasn't necessary, just please, please, PLEASE continue your fight against your writer’s block, author-nim! There is a reader here that really, really, REALLY wants to know how this story continues! *puppy eyes*
