There was a rather unusual silence between the three of them, none of them flinched nor broke the looks they had for each other. Donghae’s eyes flicked from Henry to Kyuhyun while Henry’s eyes were fixed to Kyu while Kyu’s attention only remained to Donghae. They were all being obvious. Only when the waitress appeared that they’ve broken the staring competition

They’ve ordered at the menu and waited for their meal. Henry dared to start off, “So… babe… I think you know who our special guest is right? He’s President of the Cho Heights Industry, a friend of your company, a friend of your family… and I was thinking that, he might also be a close friend of yours?” both Kyu and Hae froze, “Well… I’m… ugh, I” he stammered with his words, he wasn’t sure on how to answer “Henry, just like I said, we’re not like our parents or even our grandparents” Kyu covered

It seemed that Hae had followed off Kyu’s lead “That’s actually right babe, me and K-Kyu, aren’t that much as close as you’re thinking of. We really hadn’t had much time for each other to play around since we’re both busy with studies indoors and even at high school” Henry held a doubtful feeling

“Is that so” he suspiciously thought of something but he didn’t want to be foreseen with what he’s thinking of so he covered it up with a mischievous smile and a curious facial reaction “So, aren’t you going to ask Kyu ‘bout something, although you told me that you rarely speak with each other or even hang out. The both of you wouldn’t be all that far from each other right?” damn Kyu told himself

“About that, I don’t think he’s interested about me, besides I’m more interested on just listening” Kyu held a poker face for the two, “Oh well, maybe your right” Henry’s eyes then turned to Hae for a moment before he went back to meet Kyu’s “So, where would you like me to start?” asking Kyu in a pleasant tone

“How ‘bout the day that the two of you met” Kyu dared to take in the discussion, “That’s a good way to start… let’s see, we met on our first meeting about our company’s proposals for extensions to other countries. Usually he was dead serious and he didn’t even bother to have a personal talk with any of the board members even some of the top brass but still I didn’t think that it was the real him” Hae lowered his head, he also recalls it fully in his mind

“After a month, I finally got some guts to tell him right in the face, “Mr Lee Donghae, go out with me and don’t you dare think of work at the time being” I ordered him like I was a higher person than him” they seem to chuckle at what he said “I was rather stunned that he nodded and not even question me… I didn’t really know his ual preferences back then so it was all a surprise that he agree going out with me” he perched out a smile “It made my whole body tremble and drown with bliss… I didn’t know what to do next”

Kyu felt a bit of jealousy, no, it was damn pure jealousy. “Our first date was so intense for me that I didn’t know what to do at that point, he always makes me go blank on what kind of step to do next… he has a huge impact for me” Hae took a peak of the two, he looked over Kyu then averted to Henry. The talk wasn’t serious but the both of them seems to take it seriously

“After our first date, we started to see each other on several occasions. He didn’t turn me down, I guess he didn’t want to disappoint me or anything” he gave a half-smile “I never knew what ran inside his head, I never intended to know. All I wanted was him, all I ever hoped for was him and for about a month of dating… I’ve finally confessed my feelings for him… I’ve found the courage to tell him, how much I truly love him” Henry’s eyes landed on Hae’s

A moment in which both their eyes were linked into an ethereal word, it crumpled a bit of Kyu’s heart to hear and see the bond between the two, seriously he wanted to rip them apart at that moment but, he willed himself to stay calm as he could. “I know that you always tell me “I’m not worthy” or “I’m not worth being loved” but you know that you’re always more than want I needed” for Kyu it was sort of the last draw but he can’t afford make a scene here

Finally Henry took a look on Kyu; a certain aura of malice filled the man. He knows that feeling is directed to him, “So is there really something between the two of you?” he asked himself upon witnessing Kyu’s eyes that were filled with resentment, “I don’t know why the both of you aren’t talking much though, I think that the two of you should have a little bit of catching up” Henry suggested

The two seemed tense about it “Henry… I don’t think it’s something we should force out with because~” Kyu interjected “I’ve been busy with work after graduating from College, I also did nothing but to work and work all too boring for someone like him” he coldly said, Hae was a bit dumbfounded with it “Anything interesting that might have had happened?” Henry insisted

“Like I’ve said, I’m all work and no play, I’d love to hang around much before but I don’t stay for long. I drink out with some of my friends and leave early even before the night would start. I’m firmly a boring person” he admitted but still Hae knows it’s all lies, after a long day at work Kyu would also have time to drink and goof around. That’s the main reason he suspected someone playing around with him

“Really, you weren’t that boring at that time… you were actually a happy go lucky guy after your busy day at work” a voice intervened

They all looked to the person who spoke; a wide and mischievous grin in a man’s face and a confident posture, both Kyu and Hae fisted their hands to the sudden intrusion. “It’s been a while, Donghae” the man greeted and sat beside Kyu. “I didn’t expect you’d be having someone along with us, it seems that having 4 people in reserve was quite alright” Henry quizzically looked at the two

“I’m thankful that I manage to get that seat and not leave it a waste, by the way, my name’s Lee Sungmin. I’m Kyu’s boyfriend” he smiled brightly at Henry but his eyes were sending daggers to Hae’s. “I didn’t expect having him with us as well” Kyu added, “Don’t be like that Kyu, you know that I always stay right beside you and another thing, I wouldn’t leave you for a little mishap or anything” he giggled which made Hae grit his teeth

They seem to clash on each other more and more, “What in the world are you doing here?” he bluntly said, “Oh, Kyu please don’t be like that… he’ll be more than welcome. Like what I’ve said this is a 4 man reservation, even though we didn’t had any expectations that he’ll be attending. Everything is fine so there’s no need to be harsh” he didn’t like Henry’s suggestion

They’ve talked about each other’s relationship; lies flew into Henry’s mind. Hearing from Sungmin’s words and stories, both Kyu and Min seemed such a wonderful pair for a period of time. He was blinded to the fact that Kyu had played cold and heartless to him; he didn’t know the reality of how Kyu treated him. It was all an act of perfection

“May you excuse me for a minute” Kyu stood up and caught all of their attention; he wiped his lips with his napkin and fixed a top part of his tie and then walked towards the comfort room. After 10 seconds or so, Hae followed to excuse himself as well. Min had a certain suspicion but he didn’t want to interrupt, he entertained Henry even more to keep him pre-occupied and prevent him from having a certain thought

“What do you want to talk about?” Hae asked him straight on, “I never thought that you’d still remember our signal to talk with each other” Kyu looked at Hae through the mirror “Cut to the chase, what’s this all about? Are you really a friend of Henry or are you just saying that you are to bother us” he firmly said

“Don’t be rash, I don’t intend on ruining your relationship. I know it wouldn’t last” he said without expression or any kind of emotion along with it. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Hae felt himself starting to breathe heavily “How’s the act going along? Does he suspects that you’re not really interested in him, that you’re just using him as a cover for your depressed and painful feeling?” he looked at the elder right in the eyes

“Just say it… you still love me” Hae froze stiffly at what he stated. Hae lowered his head and slowly he chuckled, Kyu raised a brow on this “Don’t make me laugh, it’s not a convincing joke” he muttered in a low voice “Don’t be so boastful about what you held before” Hae felt his words empty “Don’t think that I’d walk right back into that damn pair of arms of yours and say that I’d never replace you with any ” he meekly said

“Spot lying to yourself, you still need me in your life… you still want the old bond we have for each other~” Hae interrupted and took hold of his shirt; with a deathly glare he looked at the calm and pleasing eyes of the younger. It held no guilt, no resentment and no worries. “Don’t put it like it wasn’t a big deal… what happened between us and what we had before is nothing more than a mere memory that I wanted to erase so badly” he hoarsely said

“So it’s better off that you’d cut it out of your thoughts because we’ll never be like what we were” his harsh voice subsided and his grip weakened, “Don’t be stupid, I know how much you still love me and I still love you, you moron” he pulled Hae into a tight embrace, “I’ve been so anxious to have you back in my arms that I wanted to kill that guy your with and run away with you” he felt Kyu’s heart thumping

“I hate how stupid and irrational you could be…” Hae was drowning with the heat younger produced “I don’t approve of forgetting any memory I had with you…” he continued and Hae felt a warm yet wet substance dripping at his shoulder, “Is he… crying” he couldn’t really tell “And I don’t believe that what we have never really became of value to you, because if it didn’t, you wouldn’t be here right now… you wouldn’t be in this place and have a talk about it” realization was brought down to Hae

“Stop acting all tough, I know how fragile you really are, I know what makes you go down on your knees and cry like a kid… I know everything that there is to know about you and same goes with you…” he felt his body tremble of feeling Kyu’s breath at his ear, “You’re the only one who knows my strengths and weaknesses… because you’re the one that completes me and breaks me”

At that very moment Hae felt so limp and speechless. He didn’t have anything to retort with. “Henry said that you’d be staying here for three more weeks… it’s more than enough to make you realise that were a complete person only when were together” Kyu pulled away and looked at him straight in the eyes “I still love you the same way, so don’t go acting like a coward who’s running from his past because I’m no past… I’m your present and will always be your future” he gave a soft peck on the man’s lips

Hae’s heart raced at feeling his lips damp on Kyu’s, he felt the excitement he had before, he felt his body heating up and demanding for more but Kyu pulled away and the thrill was starting to diminish. “We’d better go back before they’d think of something” he flatly said and walked out of the rest room leaving Hae to let it all sink in

“You’re a damn headache you ” he whispered to himself and felt warm tears rolling down the side of his eyes. “Why can’t you understand that all I want is to forget about you” he fisted his hand but still the tears came down on its own, his will wasn’t enough to control his real emotions

For about a minute after Kyu left, he got out of the wash room to get back to the table. Henry seemed to be quite entertained with Sungmin while Kyu didn’t mind. Though Kyu was listening to the conversation, he just acted like he didn’t care and ate his salad. He sat beside Henry once more and he could see the enthusiasm that he had with Min’s discussion, he wasn’t sure about what they were talking

He gave glances towards Kyu, he knows that Kyu’s able to sense him and he’s just not exposing the whole thing because Min and Henry are with them. “So Henry, would you like to have another meet with me and Kyu some other time? I’m quite fascinated with you and I really want to get to know you more so, would it be possible?” Min gave a sheepish grin “But of course, I wouldn’t want our first meet to be the last so, yes it is possible… by the way can I have your number so I’ll be able to call you?”

He pulled out his phone and gave it to him “Besides, me and Hae are on vacation for the whole month so it’s fine, we still have 3 more weeks to enjoy our stay here” he smiled widely, “Is that so, I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay here and I’ll be willing to keep you guys company” he giggled and saved Henry’s no as well

“Well as much as I want to continue this conversation on, I’d rather be going, I still have stuff to finish with me and I think I’ve over welcomed my stay” he stood up “No, you’ve been fantastic, I’m thankful you came… well, until next time then” Henry stood and waved “I think I’d better be leaving as well, it’s quite a feast we had and as well as the accommodation. Thank you so much for inviting me”

Kyu stood up and Min took a glance on him “Let’s go then” Min invited “Thanks once again” Min waved back to Henry and a knowing look on Hae

Once they left, both Hae and Henry got themselves ready and Henry paid the meal. They got to the car with a thick silence, much like what both Kyu and Henry had earlier. For a few minutes “What did you talk about inside the rest room?” Henry started off; he wasn’t looking at Hae “Hmm? What do you mean?”

Hae wasn’t sure if Min told him anything, “Do you still feel the same way for him?” Hae felt his heart pounce at the question “I’m in a relationship with you right now Hae, I won’t tolerate him for being with you or even feeling anything more than a business partner” he stiffly said, “You’re mine now, you don’t belong to him so don’t bother”

Meanwhile, “What’s with you?” Kyu gave a sharp glare, “I already bought you some time for you to have a little chit chat with him and this is the thanks I get?” he mockingly said, “Don’t act as if your cupid, what’s going on in that devious mind of yours?” Min sighed at the way his question was so serious

“I’m not acting, I’m just giving you what you want…” he trailed off and walked closer until they were only a foot apart, “Did he told you he loves you?” he smiled at him “It’s not like you to not be affected with this… is there a catch to this?” Min twisted his smile to a smirk “No catch, no goose chase no weird plans or whatsoever, I’m not acting nor am I concerned with the outcome of your talk may be…”

He turned around and acted to be walking away, “There’s no need to act scared, to be honest, there’s no reason to be scared… I know Henry’s not a push over if it comes to someone, to be frank with you… I know Henry from College, I was his dorm roommate so, and I know exactly what the result would be”

He heard a chuckle and it made Kyu furious, “You know him? So what? Are you planning on something against me and what I want? Is that it?” he barraged him with questions, Min turned his head to look at Kyu behind him, “I don’t need to take a step, Henry’s bound to do it on his own”

With that Min smiled back and left to enter his car, Kyu stood at the parking space where he followed him. “So… this means Henry knows…” he felt a bit shaken, “So… what? What if he knows every damn thing about us? He’s not going to interfere with me and Donghae, if he wants Donghae he has to put up a good damn fight about it” he knuckled his hand and stormed to get his keys and didn’t bother to have the guy drive the car to him

He sat at the driver’s seat with a deep thought, “There’s no way, that I’ll let something like this to be taken lightly… he’s not going to have him… not for long” he whispered to himself and drove off, at he continued to drive aimlessly to get his head into a clear and faze free for him to think of ways. His phone rang, he picked it up and looked at the caller ID, his eyes widened and he answered the phone right away

“Hello?” he heard a light sigh on the other line “It’s been a while, let’s meet tonight… same place alright?” Kyu gulped, “I’ll be right there… what time?” he was eager to see the person calling him “I’ll be waiting around 8 if you run late I can still~” Kyu intercepted “I’ll be early this time” the other person chuckled, “Suit yourself, bye”

As he hung the phone, he felt himself growing anxious. What does he want to talk about?
