Prologue

   1991

     011291 9.20 PM

"Please don't hurt me..." Baemin begged. Heechul's bipolarness struck again. Baemin was 9 months pregnant but Heechul was just careless. Every time the clock strikes at 9 PM, Heechul turns out like a beast.
"S-stop.." Baemin was turning violet whilst she was being strangled by Heechul. When she was looking at Heechul's eyes, she saw a fire burning in it. Before she fainted, blood was streaming down her thighs and everything turned black.
 

     011491 10.22 AM

"Congratulations sir, it's a girl!" The nurse happily informed, "We thought it would be critical for the both of them because your wife hasn't been waking up for two days already. But good thing, the CS operation was successful," she added and smiled.

However, the light atmosphere turned into a heavy one when the doctor came out. His looks were suspective over Heechul.
"We have seen bruises on her arms and marks on her neck. Was she from a recent accident or-"
"Yes, she hit her neck and rolled down to the stairs whilst she was trying to open the door," Heechul cut in.
"Hmmm... Well, is that so?" The doctor asked.
"Yes," Heechul confirmed.  "May I see her?" He asked.
"Sure, you can see her in her ward." The doctor gave him a reassuring smile and walked off.
Heechul thought of the words he said to the doctor wilst he was walking to Baemin's ward. He saw her calmly sleeping, unlike when she was sleeping at their house. Tears formed in his eyes, regretting everything he did earlier and why he always turn into a beast when the clock strikes at 9 in the evening.

Heechul brought some snacks in Baemin's ward. Mostly, he brought her favorite snacks. Seeing her sound asleep breaks his heart - always regretting what he did before. He didn't want to bother waking Baemin up to her quiet sleep. Seems like I have to stay here for a little bit longer.

"Hey there," Heechul approached Baemin. She was trying to stir off from her doze. From the past few days, Heechul had never been (into) a beast.
"Hi~" Baemin replied with a cracking voice. Heechul handed her a glass of water and she carefully drank it trying not to spill a water on the bed. The nurse went inside Baemin's ward, bringing her their daughter.
"I believe you haven't named your baby yet," the nurse smiled, reaching their baby to Baemin's arms.
"I want to name her Heemin," She looked at the baby.
Heechul didn't want to argue because He wants their daughter to be named Haneul because he and Baemin loves to stare at the sky. But Heemin is better, right? He only managed to smile and agree to Baemin because he doesn't want to disappoint her.

'bang!'
 

Baemin hit the kitchen door. A smoke came out of Heechul's nostrils. He was furiously mad because of nothing. Good thing Heemin was at her crib, sound asleep and if she was on Baemin's arms, she woud've been in great pain. Heechul became wild again and she thought that it was more than him being bipolar. His eyes also were turning red and all of his veins were showing up.

"I think I only know you less." Baemin's eyes were watering up.

The grip of Heechul's hand on Baemin's neck loosened and suddenly was turning back to normal. Heechul went down on his knees and suddenly, was crying in buckets. Baemin was shocked, he only cried once when they were together - when Baemin's parents disagree on her relationship with Heechul because they said he will only hurt her. And now, he's crying for hurting her. Heechul held her hand, continuously apologizing to her. She hugged him for hours, never letting him go until his tears stopped falling.

After all the chaos that happened last night, Baemin slept well. However she felt something missing. She turned her body on the other side of her bed and tried to hug Heechul. "You're so soft," Baemin gagged. 

Something feels wrong, she thought. She opened her eyes only to find out that he was hugging a not-so soft pillow. She searched for Heechul in their room, downstairs, the kitchen, the garage, even Heemin's room.

She was partly feeling hopeful that maybe Heechul just went out to get some air or buy something, and she was partly feeling hopeless that maybe he had left. Baemin ran to their room again, going straight to the closet to ensure if his clothes were still there but no, 

Heechul is gone.

He didn't even leave any letter..

He didn't even warn her that he will leave..

Baemin was broke, she didn't know what to do.
