"Henry, are you okay?"

"I'm fine hyung. Really I am."

Leeteuk looked at the boy without speaking, and watched the tiny tears appear in his eyes.

"Come and cuddle with me."

Henry shook his head. "No thank you hyung, I need to be alone for a while.."

 

Watching the teary boy go to his room, Leeteuk desperately wished that he could help him. The maknae had recieved a phone call a few hours ago, saying that his grandmother had died. Leeteuk knew that Henry was angry at himself for not being there at the end, for not saying a proper goodbye. Hearing the sniffles coming from the room, he hugged himself.

 

Leeteuk was good at caring for the members, good at soothing their pain and mending broken hearts. But he didn't know how to help Henry when the boy just wanted to be alone. His heart broke at the small sniffles, and he longed to hold the boy close, to wipe away his tears and soothe him gently. But Henry didn't want that.

 

Sitting on the sofa, Leeteuk decided not to leave the dorm, incase Henry changed his mind and wanted to cuddle someone. The last thing Leeteuk wanted was for Henry to feel alone. He knew the feeling well himself, and he knew the pain that it brought. He turned the tv on quietly, and felt small arms wrap around him.

 

Turning around, ready to soothe and kiss away the pain, he jumped to see a different face.

"Are you sad to see me?" Wook asked, letting go of the older boy.

"No, of course not. I just thought that you were Henry." Pulling the boy close and hugging him, Leeteuk sighed.

 

"He's just sitting in his room hyung, he keeps looking at his phone and crying.."

"Poor Henry, it's hard to lose a loved one like that" Leeteuk whispered, tightening his arms around Ryeowook.

The younger boy just hugged back, knowing that Leeteuk was desperate to comfort Henry,  to his hair and make him feel happy again.

 

Watching a few shows, Leeteuk smiled when it was time for dinner. He stood up and went to Henry's room, knocking gently before slowly opening the door.

"Henry, how are you feeling?"

The boy slowly turned around, his cheeks red raw with the tears that were still falling. His eyes were bright red, and Leeteuk wanted to hold him. Unable to stop himself, he moved closer to the boy.

"I miss her hyung.."

"I know Henry, I know. It's painful, and I know you must be hurting."

Nodding, Henry hiccuped violently from the sobs. "I didn't get to say 'goodbye' hyung.." He curled up into a ball, leaning into Leeteuk. The boy opened his arms and embraced Henry, holding him close as he trembled.

 

"Why don't you say goodbye to her now? Do you have a picture?"

The boy nodded, and showed Leeteuk his phone. He was standing next to a woman, hugging her close.

"She looks so sweet."

"She always wished me the best, and supported me.."

Leeteuk held the phone steady, and kept an arm around the boy. "Here, you can say goodbye now. Would you like to do it in private?"

The boy shook his head. "Please don't leave hyung.."

 

Leeteuk hugged Henry as the boy tearfully bid his grandmother goodbye. Hugging him warmly, Leeteuk gently kissed his hair.

"Th-thank you hyung, I feel a bit better now."

Leeteuk just held him close, pressing warm kisses to his cheek.

"I'm always here for you Henry."

 

The boy whimpered gently.

"I'm sorry for not cuddling y-you earlier hyung.. I wasn't trying to be mean, I-I just needed to sort my thoughts.."

"I understand Henry, and I'm not offended at all. Take all the time you need, grieving is a hard process."

Nuzzling into the older boy, Henry hugged him tightly.

 

When Ryeowook came through the door with two steaming bowls, he found Henry fast asleep with his head on Leeteuk's lap. He had wanted to be alone, but now he was desperate for affection, and Leeteuk was happy to give it to him.
