Ten seconds is a short amount of time. Most people could close their eyes, and ten seconds would go by the blink of an eye and as they reopen their eyes they could already be on second eleven.

But to Sehun, ten seconds is all he needs.

Ten seconds is all he needs as he watches the needle of his watch count from five past seven in the morning

Ten seconds is all he needs to listen to the sound of rattling keys from the flat next door.

Ten seconds is all he needs to turn the knob, step out of his apartment and turn around to face the boy next door and hear a 'Good morning Sehun' coming from those sweet lips.

Ten seconds is all he needs to fall in love with the boy next door all over again, every day.

He would never miss those ten seconds for anything in the world.

Luhan always wakes up five minutes before his alarm rings at quarter past six. He gets up and takes a quick shower, if he's in the mood he would even cook himself some breakfast, fried eggs and sausages were enough to fill his stomach in the morning. He would get ready, make sure his outfit looked decent and wait behind his door at five past seven in the morning. He would tap his foot unconsciously, sometimes he would even hum a song he heard on the radio of his car on his way home from the previous night. He would then look at his clock, and as the long needle on his watch would point at the letter ten he would open the door of his house and step outside.

And maybe Luhan should stop waking up so early, because his earliest morning classes wouldn't start until ten and the university was only a twenty minutes ride by car.

And maybe deep inside Luhan knew that he should stop doing his morning rituals.

But he would never miss those ten seconds for anything either.

Because what comes after his 'Good morning Sehun's, to him, is the marking of a new day.
