Author's Note: Above is one of my favorite quotes. Here's a little story I hope you will all enjoy :)

Foreword

She was stuck. Kang Yejin understood the requirements and roles of “growing up” but she had discovered herself to be incapable of proceeding into this ritual of life. She wasn’t a child, her age was an enough reminder of that, though, her physical features could say otherwise. Her complexion was still as youthful as one 3-4 years younger than her and her actions didn’t infer much maturity as well. Yejin enjoyed freedom and fun. She greeted the world with crescent eye-smiles, dimpled grins, and pearls of laughter. She was ignorant to her surroundings and reality. Perhaps, this was the reason she felt so alone. No one else shared the same point of view of this carefree young woman.

Kris Wu feels afflicted. He roams everyday with a frown and scowl imprinted on his features. He trusts no one and cares for no one. He views each day as dull and insignificant. He avoids any type of interactions and maintains to himself. He lacks goals and ambitions, but continues to live by the designed plans of his parents. He is the sole heir to his families multi-billion company. Growing up to take over the business is all he knows. But why did her question bother him so much. Are you happy, Kris? Happiness was only in story books, where princes rescued princesses and ended living happily ever after. Could he be happy? Kris wasn’t quite sure where to begin.

She was like gravity. Everything about her drew Bang Yongguk to fall flat at her feet, literally. He has lost count of the multiple times he had made a fool of himself in front of her. Yongguk isn’t sure if it’s a curse or just plain bad luck. Yet he can’t stay away. Two years in same university and Yongguk has not yet spoken to her. He has her schedule memorized, well perhaps not her actual schedule but he knew the exact time their paths intersect between classes. She isn’t his muse to his song writing, Yongguk has someone else for that, but he wishes she could be. All he has to do is try to get to know her better. One thing he knows well, she is always smiling.

Moon Ji Ae’s problem is she isn’t Kang Yejin. The girl who has everything figured out, or so that’s how it appears to others. Ji Ae, or Jenny, has everything she ever needs, and no, she does not want more. She isn’t interested in wanting to be like Yejin or be her in any matter. Jenny did envy the joyful girl on one thing; Yejin was the receiving end of Yongguk’s unrequited love.  Jenny’s affection for Yongguk wasn’t romantic, not yet that is, but she had always imagined he would be.  So, it bothered Jenny that the one person she isn’t guarded around could be taken away. How is she supposed to be happy without her best friend around?
