(introduction - gelato)

Kris tries to like gelato but Sehun and Luhan spoil everything.

Kris likes to call them his acquaintances. Especially at times like this when he somehow gets convinced that no, we will behave this time we promise! and gets dragged out to a gelato shop but there Luhan is taking selfies with an obnoxiously loud self-timer on his camera phone and Sehun is trying to balance their cups of water (one is still half full but Kris sees it as half empty) – Kris doesn’t know if he should even act like he knows them.

Luhan decides to yell for him despite a less than ten-inch distance anyway to take a photo together and Kris wonders how much second hand embarrassment one is able to suffer from before dying when the self-timer beeps its countdown from fifteen (instead of five when Luhan takes selfies by himself. Luhan reasons that the extra ten seconds is for Kris to try actually look good in the photo). The younger of the two has an arm around Kris’s neck tightly to make sure the older doesn’t escape at the last second but cups topple over the phone that had been set on the table and they’re doused in water.

Luhan shrieks (in the highest ever pitch anyone has heard) and Sehun smiles particularly brightly as he makes his way to the counter to get paper napkins.

Kris covers his face with his hands and pretends they’re not even acquaintances, much less roommates.
