“Ah, yes, it really is a 아름다운 밤 tonight in Los Angeles. A beautiful night!” you said, switching between Korean and English cleanly. As you spoke, you let out a small sigh. “And what a great way to start the summer, right? With summer comes many of our adventures—including my own. As many of you know, tonight’s my last broadcast. This summer, I’m moving to a different city, like, oh Seoul! So be sure to tune in online for my radio show for KBS, every night at 10 PM, Seoul time that is. Thank you for everyone’s support. I will truly miss this place and these people. Until we meet again, this has been Sincerely, Amy.”

When the music started playing, you put your headphones down and stood up. The staff on the other side was applauding you, and you applauded them back. As you stepped out, your producer approached you first with a tight hug.

“You have a great time in Korea, okay? Don’t worry about the rest of us. Just live out your broadcast dreams in Seoul,” she said. Then, looking you right in the eye, she continued, “Have fun, but don’t be so trusting: I’ve heard a lot of stories of those idols breaking hearts.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be careful,” you promised. “I know those idols are never sincere, anyway.”
