Foreword

 

"I knew a boy, He was about eleven? Or maybe twelve, I can't recall. But what I know was that he only had his brother and his father. They didn't live a grand life, maybe you can even say that they were as poor as the rats that settled on their crappy rooftop, but he was happy. Like most of those in the movies," he says, fiddling with his fingers and staring out into the open. "His father didn't come home one night, and of course they were worried. You know what happened? His father died," he says and takes a pause to breath as the memory rushes back to him, and then goes back to telling, his eyes landing on Minseok's as he tells the last word, "Killed." 

 

"Wait, is this boy you or what?" Minseok asks, feeling the intense stare of Kai. 

Kai chuckles and then goes back to staring out into the open. "Me? No, no," he says, more to himself than to Minseok, "Of course not."

 

"My name is Jongin. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Chapter 1: I. Absolutely. Love this.

Minseok's characteristic, Jongin's patience and XiuKai's fake but fun relationship, it's all realistic, cool, and enjoyable read. I usually dislike how most fans on AFF picture Minseok, so here have a second mention of how I love his characteristic.

And absolutely him not being a boring adult and that little detail of his past life. (I have a thing for Xiu Min-used-to-be-a-thug headcanon and not even once I saw someone using it in a fanfiction.)

Jongin though… that brilliant bastard. What a complicated plan he's going through. You're the best, Jongin. You're the ing best.
