Busan, South Korea

Jinri's POV

It's been a year since the traumatic break up that happened to me, I was so desperate to forget the two persons who broke my heart so I decided to live here in  Busan independently

It was a tough decision for my parents to let me go and to be alone by myself but I always reassure them that I'm always gonna be okay and for them to make sure, Siwon oppa always visits me here every Sunday

About my education, I transferred here on the second semester of my senior year in college and yes I've already graduated from my course in business management

"Ya, Choi Jinri! Are you thinking about your ex again?" my friend Yoona startled me

"Shut up Yoona! I'm not thinking of hat devil incarnate!" I raised my voice

Yoona smirked and shook her head "Geez. I think you need some stress pills, it's a good day and your mood is spoiling it."

I scoffed upon hearing her remark "I'm having a bad mood because of you, it's a good day and you're making me remember him." I put my hands on my hips

"Sorry Jin, won't happen again." Yoona told me with a smile

I looked at the clock and gasped "Oh my god! I'm late!" I shouted "Gotta go Yoona, see you later!" I bid farewell as I ran to the door

I was outside waiting for a cab then a shiny black jaguar stopped infront of me and I know who is the owner of the car

He got out wearing his brown rayban sunglasses with his casual look, black polo and brown pants

"Goodmorning Jinri!" he flashed his heart melting smile 

"Morning Chanyeol." I greeted him half heartedly

He opened the shiny black door on the passenger seat "Come, I'll take you to work." he recommended

And yes, Chanyeol is my admirer, he came from a rich family and his father and my dad are classmates in high school, he is handsome, kind and caring, a personality suited for a prince

"No thank you, I'm okay." I declined his offer

"Are you sure? You're late, I'm also going there to meet dad." he told me 

His dad is the CEO of the company I'm working on and he convinced his dad that I will be the marketing manager

"Please, just this time." Chanyeol pleaded with his puppy dog eyes

"I'm sorry but I don't want another rumor spreading in the company that I'm seducing you to increase my salary." I said boldly

He laughed in return "Aigoo, Jinri don't be alarmed about the rumors, dad knows that it's not true." he said convincing me

"Alright." I gave in "But only this time." I told him as I enter the car

Park Industries

​Jinri and Chanyeol entered the company together, as they step foot inside, voices can b heard from the employees

She began making fists, one of the things she hates he most is when people are talking back at her

Chanyeol quickly held her hand and shouted "CHOI JINRI IS MY GIRL! DON'T SPREAD ANY FALSE RUMORS ABOUT HER OR YOU'LL BE FIRED!"

Jinri's eyes widened and mouthed "What are you doing?" "To save you from humiliation." he smiled

"The only one who's humiliating me is you, it's so embarrassing!" she lightly punched him in his chest

Chanyeol pinched her cheek "Go now upstairs, you'll be surprised about the happenings later."

Upstairs, Jinri was about to open her office door when a man quickly opened it for her

"Let me open it for you, Ms. Choi." he said "T-Thanks."

As she entered her office she was shocked to find her dad in there "Dad!" she shouted and hugged her dad

"Aigoo, I miss my little angel so much." her dad hugged her tightly

"Why did you went here in Busan? You're busy from handling our business." she asked

His dad looked at the door "Because of him."

Jinri looked at door and saw Chanyeol grinning "C-Chanyeol?" she stuttered upo hearing her father's revelation

He stepped closer to Jinri and held both of her hands "Choi Jinri, I already had my permission from your dad to court you."

"Eh?" she blurted out innocently "Jinri, it's been a year since you and Minho broke up, it's time for you to open your heart again." her father said

"Dad, Chanyeol, I'm not ready." she said "Don't worry, I'll wait." Chanyeol said

"No. You two don't understand, I am already over him but I think I'm never gonna learn to love again." she said while sobbing 

"Jinri. I will never hurt you, I promise." Chanyeol said sincerely but Jinri let go of his hand and ran away

Shocked, Chanyeol's eyes became misty "Jinri!" he shouted and started to chase her

Mr. Choi was dumbfounded and was frozen "Am I too much?" he thought 

On the street Jinri was running as fast as she could she could hear Chanyeol's voice calling her but she ignored as she crossed the street something fell down from her neck, it was Minho's first anniversary gift from her, unknowingly she picked it up and looked at it but someone honked behind her and she realized she was on the middle of the street

She was dazed and saw who's the driver, the one who betrayed her, the one who broke her heart, her bestfriend Soojung 

On the other hand, Soojung went still and didn't stepped on the brake and crashed upon Jinri 

With a loud gasp she quickly got out of the car and went to her, dazed, confused, scared and shocked were the feelings Soojung felt for that time

Jinri was laying down in the middle of the road with blood oozing from her head
