It was the first day of high school. Students are walking in the hallways, chatting to friends, sitting around, and or maybe waiting for the first day of school to be over with. I was sitting at a table with my good friends, Yoseob, Doo Joon, and Lee Joon. Class hasn’t started yet so everyone is just waiting.

　

Yoseob: *sigh* I’m so bored of waiting.

Lee Joon: what classes do you guys have first?

You: I’ve got math first.

Doo Joon: I’ve got math as well.

Yoseob: I have a computer class.

Lee Joon: what teachers do you have Doo Joon?

Doo Joon: Mr. Rain

You: really??

Doo Joon: yea. What about you?

You: I’ve got the same teacher!

Doo Joon: ALRIGHT!!!

Yoseob: what about you Lee Joon?

Lee Joon: I’ve got this science class with Ms. Jung Ah

You: haha! Wow.

　

Just then, some girls walked pass us. I caught myself staring at one of them when Yoseob waved his hand by my face.

　

Yoseob: what were you looking at?

Doo Joon: haha, or maybe it should be “WHO were you looking at?”?

You: I-I… who is that girl?

Lee Joon: who?

You: that one right there. With the long black hair.

Lee Joon: oh! That’s Krystal Jung. I heard that she never smiles.

You: that’s absurd. Everyone smiles.

Yoseob: I don’t know ________. I’ve never seen her smile.

You: hmm…

Lee Joon: well~ I’m gonna leave you guys for awhile.

Doo Joon: where you off to?

Lee Joon: *smiles* nowhere.

　

The three of us saw Lee Joon walking up to these girls. After a awhile, he motioned us to come over.

　

You: *sigh*

Yoseob: why can’t they come to us? Haha!

　

All three of us got up and walked over to Lee Joon and the girls. They were all smiling and laughing.

　

Lee Joon: this is Yoseob.

Yoseob: Hi.

Lee Joon: this is Doo Joon.

Doo Joon: yo.

Lee Joon: and this is ________.

You: hello.

Doo Joon: and what are your names?

Yoo Ah Ra: I’m Yoo Ah Ra.

Yoon Jo: I’m Yoon Jo.

Lime: I’m Hye Lim. But you can call me Lime.

Nara: I’m Nara.

Yoo Young: im Yoo Young.

Alice: my name’s Joo Hee but please call me Alice.

You, Yoseob, Doo Joon: it’s nice to meet you all.

Lee Joon: any of you got math as your first class?

Lime: just me. I have it with Mr. Rain.

Lee Joon: oh really?!

Doo Joon: so does _______ and I.

Lime: haha! Really? That’s awesome.

Yoseob: yea yea…

Alice: Nara and I have computers with Ms. BoA.

Yoseob: I do too~

Nara: haha! Really now?

Yoseob: yea.

　

Just then, the bell rung for everyone to go to their classes. Doo Joon, Lime, and I walked together to Mr. Rain’s classroom while the others split up to their own classes. There were so many people who took the good spots to sit so I just chose to sit near the door. Doo Joon sat behind me while Lime walked over to some other girls and sat with them. There was a minute before the bell would ring again. Just as the bell rang, a girl quickly ran in. I noticed that she was panting. She must’ve ran over here.

　

Girl: whew!! Made it.

　

There were no other seats left in the room except for the one next to mine. The girl quickly walked over to the desk and sat down. I was a little uncomfortable when I finally realized who this girl was. It was Krystal Jung. The same girl I saw just a few minutes ago.

　

Doo Joon: *quietly* haha, look who’s here _________.

You: Shhh!! The teacher’s coming.

Mr. Rain: *walks in room* Good morning students. My name is Mr. Rain and I will be your teacher for this subject.

Random Student: *quietly* oh goody.

　

Mr. Rain made us all introduce ourselves and then soon talked about the class and school rules. I was bored so I just stared out into space. A few minutes later, Mr. Rain started talking to me.

　

Mr. Rain: is something wrong?

You: Huh?

　

I looked around and noticed that everyone, including Krystal, were staring at me. My face turned a red as I spoke.

　

You: Oh~ umm, no. Everything’s fine.

Mr. Rain: Then would you please listen instead of looking at miss Krystal Jung here?

You: what? Um, ok?

　

Mr. Rain went back to talking, leaving me dumbfounded. Doo Joon then quickly came up behind me and whispered in my ear.

　

Doo Joon: you were staring at her for a while now.

You: *quietly* r-really?!

Doo Joon: yea.

　

Mr. Rain talked until the bell rang. I grabbed my stuff and followed Doo Joon out the door. Doo Joon and I walked over and stood by some lockers to see if we could find Lee Joon or Yoseob anywhere.

　

Doo Joon: so what were you doing?

You: I-I … I don’t know. I spaced out.

Doo Joon: Well obviously.

You: how long was I staring at her for?

Doo Joon: maybe four or five minutes.

You: crap… makes me look like a stalker creep.

Doo Joon: haha! You think?

You: oh shut up.

Doo Joon: haha!! Oh hey! It’s Yoon Jo. Come on, let’s say “hi”.

　

We both walked up to Yoon Jo to say “Hi” but she responded with a weird look.

　

Doo Joon: Did you forget us already Yoon Jo?

Girl: umm, I’m not Yoon Jo. My name’s Jessica.

Doo Joon: r-really?? I-I’m so sorry.

You: we thought you were a friend of ours. Haha so sorry.

Jessica: haha, umm ok. Well what are your names?

Doo Joon: I’m Doo Joon.

You: and my name’s _________.

Jessica: it’s nice to meet you both.

You: was nice to meet you too.

Jessica: haha well I’m gonna head to my next class now. I’ll see you guys around.

　

Jessica waved at us before walking away. Just as she left, Yoseob walked towards us.

　

Yoseob: so where you all headed now?

Doo Joon: I’m going to English. The teacher is Mrs. Gain.

Yoseob: YES! Finally got a class with one of you guys.

Doo Joon: haha! You’re an idiot.

You: haha! Lee Joon’s talking to another girl over there.

　

Yoseob, Doo Joon, and I both looked to where Lee Joon was. We were about to go mess with him by doing something stupid but the bell was gonna ring soon. We all quickly made it to our classes just as the bell rang.

　

[SCHOOL CAFETERIA]

　

Lee Joon: YES!! EATING TIME!

Doo Joon: wow~

Yoseob: c’mon, let’s go get something to eat.

Lee Joon and Doo Joon: YEA~

You: you guys can go ahead. I’m not that hungry.

Yoseob: you sure ________?

You: yea, go ahead. I’ll wait here.

Doo Joon: alright then.

　

The three guys got up and left me to go get some food. I sat there kind of bored until a girl with dark brown hair came and sat with me.

　

You: oh, hi Jessica.

Jessica: hi. So how’s your classes?

You: they’re alright. You?

Jessica: the same. Where are your friends?

You: getting food. What about yours?

Jessica: they’re somewhere around here.

　

Just then, a tall girl came up to us hugging Jessica from behind.

　

Girl: HI JESSICA!!!

Jessica: oh, hi Yoona.

Yoona: who’s your friend here?

You: my name’s ________.

Jessica: ________, this is Im Yoona.

You: *smiling* It’s nice to meet you.

Yoona: *smiling* It’s nice to meet you too.

Jessica: where’s Yuri, Seohyun, Sunny, and Tiffany?

Yoona: over there eating.

Jessica: ooh~ ok. *looking around* Where’s my sister? Have you seen her?

Yoona: *looks around* umm… oh! *points* There she is.

　

Jessica then stands up and tries to get her sister’s attention. When she finally did so, Jessica motioned for her to come over. I saw Krystal and another girl coming over. Why was Krystal coming over?

　

Krystal: yea Jess?

Jessica: can you watch my stuff real quick? I need to go to the bathroom.

Krystal: uuh~?? Sure?

Jessica: thanks sis.

You: *to yourself* “sis”??!

　

Jessica walked away, Yoona walked away, and Krystal and the girl sat down at the table. It was kind of awkward. Krystal and her friend were just chatting while I sat there looking like a total idiot. Where were Yoseob and the guys anyways? They should’ve been back already. I looked around to try and find them but found no trace of them. I turned my eyes back to Krystal and ended up staring at her for awhile. Krystal looked back at me after awhile and I immediately looked away. Her friend then started to speak.

　

Girl: so what’s your name?

You: I’m __________. what’s your name?

Sulli: My name’s Sulli. It’s nice to meet you ___________.

You: it’s nice to meet you too.

Krystal: so how do you know my sister?

You: a friend and I thought she was someone else so we walked up to her and started talking to her.

Krystal: ooh~ ok.

　

Just then, Jessica came back with two guys.

　

Jessica: hey Krys? Look who I found.

Krystal: huh? Oh! Annyeonghaseyo Ye Sung. Annyeonghaseyo Eunhyuk.

Eunhyuk and Ye Sung: Annyeong Krystal.

　

I was now starting to feel like an outsider. They were all sitting there talking and laughing. They weren’t even paying attention to me anymore. I was getting bored so I stood up and walked away. As I was walking away, I could feel a pair of eyes looking at me from afar.
