15. STUCK WITH JIYONG



Turns out that the cure to bobs is chocolate brownies. I ate a whole plate before Jiyong called the all clear. We watched TV is silence for a while, before a question popped into my head.

'If I'm your soul mate, why were the thugs after Seohyun?' I asked. Ji turned to me and sighed.

'I wasn't the only one who thought Seohyun was my soul mate.' He admitted. My eye widened.

'Kris.'

'Yeah,' his voice was layered in disgust. 'Bloody basterd is a spy for PURE- he's also the son of their leader. He must have tipped them off that it was Seohyun and they went after her.'

'But then PURE still think that it's Seohyun!' I screeched. 'We have to get to her before they do-'

'Actually, they know it isn't Seohyun,' he confessed, interrupting me. I cocked an eyebrow. 'I may have... accidently let it slip that you were my soul mate while I was fighting with Kris.'

'YOU IDIOT!' I launched myself at him and punched him in the jaw. 'NOW I CAN NEVER FIND OUT IF MILK COMES OUT OF A COWS NOSE WHEN IT LAUGHS!'

'We'll do it once the war is over, I promise.' He swore.

'And when will the war be over?' I demanded.

'My dad's planning to give the final attack on the 27th of this month.' I groaned at got off him. Eleven days with nothing but Jiyong.

'LOOK, JIYONGIE!' I squealed and ran down the river. 'LOOK!'

'What is it, Dara?' he asked, catching up to me.

'Pretty flower!' I cooed and bent down. Just as I was about to pick it up, a pale hand snatched it away. 'HEY!'

'If you want it, you have to give me something in return!' Jiyong teased. I glared at him.

Stupid soul mate

For you information, just because we're 'soul mates' doesn't mean we're together. We agreed that we should just take it slow and get to know each other more. Neither of us wants to rush into things.

'What do you want for it?' I asked. He tapped his cheek. 'You want my... cheek?'

'No, I want you to kiss my cheek. And then I'll give it to you.' I glared at him as he smirked, walking closer to him thoughtfully. Carefully, I stood up on my tippy toes and kissed him.

'Can I have it back now?' I complained. Jiyong just laughed. 'Please?'

'Nope.'

Stupid, stupid soul mate!

I pouted and ran back to the cottage, locking him out. After a while of banging on the door, he gave up and started shouting.

'LITTLE PIG, LITTLE PIG, LET ME IN!'

'You seriously think I'm going to let you in after you called me a pig twice?' I asked disbelievingly. He sighed.

'You're meant to say 'not by the hair on my chinny chin chin,' stupid.'

'I don't have any hair on my chin.' He groaned and started banging on the door again. I walked off into the kitchen and opened the fridge. The whole door was filled with bottles of red liquid.

I grabbed a bottle and a packet of white chocolate.

Turning on the TV, I put it on the Disney channel. Sleeping Beauty was playing, my all time favourite Disney movie. I snuggled into the comfy couch happily and opened my chocolate. Shovelling pieces in as I watched, I sang along to all the songs Aurora sang. Half way through the movie, I opened my bottle of red cordial and took a swing.

Only to spit it back out on a pissed-looking Jiyong.
