Kyuhyun calls Ryeowook after he finishes recording his new album, stressed out and irritated and ready to rant about how tired he is and how the lyrics to his songs are dumb and the writers are stupid s, too, and won't Ryeowook consider composing for him, just this once, but when Ryeowook picks up and says hello? in his soft, sleep-roughened voice, Kyuhyun forgets what to say.

"Am I disturbing you?" Kyuhyun says, tentatively, and Ryeowook stifles a yawn from the other line.

"I just took a nap," Ryeowook says, "moving in was stressful."

Kyuhyun looks at his shoes, scuffs his heel against the polished floor. "Sorry I couldn't help out, I was--"

"Busy, I know," Ryeowook finishes for him, "it's okay, I had Hyungsik with me, and the others helped out."

It's that name that makes Kyuhyun's tongue curl involuntarily in his mouth, but he keeps quiet for a few seconds to regain some composure before he asks, cautiously, "want to hear something I recorded?"

Ryeowook laughs. "Sure thing, mister big shot singer," he says, and Kyuhyun does.
