#1 Morning

He wakes up early.

Jinki is still in his boyfriend’s oversized long sleeved white shirt. His stubby fingers clumsily searching for bobby pins to prevent his messy bangs from covering his face in the morning routine. Changmin should tell him to hurry because they have an early appointment this morning, but there’s something about Jinki’s dreamy gaze and his sleepy movements that makes Changmin hold his breath for a second.

The younger man yawns then blinks the sleep away from his eyes. And when Jinki smiles sincerely at him, he can’t help but return it with the same sincerity.

Their morning kiss always tastes like toothpaste—minty mint and fresh. Changmin’s fingers will always know their way to Jinki’s face, his thumbs traces his boyfriend’s skin slowly—to feel the softness of Jinki’s skin, to remind him just how vulnerable the younger actually is.

There’s a nagging voice in the back of his mind to hurry up, but he chooses to ignore it when Jinki looks ridiculously adorable in his sleepy state.

“Good morning, angel.”

Jinki snorts, his right hand pushes the other’s shoulder softly. “What? A badass like me ain’t nothing like an angel.” He makes some faces that only cause Changmin to hold his laughter. Seeing that, Jinki grins at the older man, honey colored eyes soften at the person he love the most.

“Good morning to you too, cheeseball.”
